Kinda agree with HROY. Unless it's stories by the JR Smiths and Michael Vicks of the world, don't bother.

Well I don't really know what else you're expecting from these athletes. Like Zach Lowe style Xs and Os analysis? Statistical analysis? Pulitzer Prize winning literary works of art? I appreciate the view point from people we rarely hear from directly. I think at best good social commentary from a unique point of view. At worst entertaining locker room stories. I mean really tho what medium isn't self serving? All media are filtered through the people who write and present and that will always be somewhat self serving. It seems to me it should be partially self serving otherwise the article wouldn't be written or if it were it would be robotic and not very enjoyable.

that's my point - perhaps this isn't a project worth putting out there. it doesn't matter to me though, if i don't like it i just won't read it. just commenting to make conversation.

and i didn't enjoy that Blake Griffin article. didn't really tell us anything new, even from that insider's perspective.

i see you point of view, but i'd rather read actual locker room stories than some bullishit attributed to an anonymous NBA source or the latest tweet or instagram which is the vast majority of basketball articles out these days.

but you're right. this isn't a huge step up from that, but for me much more interesting

i thought this was actually very cool

the rest of the article he tries to come up with archetypes and how it fits into the pass/shoot and drive/vs probe spectrum.

the lakers are going to be AMAZING this year.

in their last two games they've taken 3 3s and 5 3s! they've missed all of them! laker blogs are already saying that the byron scott era is just like the mike brown era but even worse.

this is boozer today down 21 pts to the jazz

i'm incredibly excited to see what kobe does this year

Lakers reaching the playoffs would be an overachievement imo. They should be entertaining to watch though.

hey guyz! rate my fantasy team!

Jeremy Lin LAL - PG,SG
Lance Stephenson Cha - SG,SF
LeBron James Cle - SF,PF
Anderson Varejao Cle - PF,C
Marc Gasol Mem - C
Miles Plumlee Pho - PF,C
George Hill Ind - PG,SG
Jabari Parker Mil - SF
Avery Bradley Bos - PG,SG
Timofey Mozgov Den - C

its a 16team league and full of statheads/overachieving asians/creepy caucasian IT&engineer geeks.. so I think I did pretty well. I just went with the "fuck it I'm paying a lot for lebron or anthony davis" strategy then tried to draft players who would playing starter minutes. the funny part was the draft was last sunday morning and some poor schmuck paid almost $100 for Kevin Durant and 15min later the news hits about his injury lol8[1].gif.

More good news for the Bulls! LOL @ "Jimmy Jordan" lol8[1].gif

caught about 5 minutes of last night's game. looked about as organized as a ymca pick-up game. amazing how quickly they have fallen to pieces. after kobe, longest-tenured guy on the team is jordan hill. and, of course, nash is out again. injured his back CARRYING HIS BAG!

So fragile

Apparently baron scott is telling his players to not shoot 3s. He wants at most 10-15 3s a game (by comparison curry alone shot 8 3s per game). He says he wants to change from D'antonis style and be more aggressive. Only his team is attacking the basket less and also not shooting 3s

Might be worse than the mike brown era

clippers baby, clippers. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

They should at least make WCF again considering OKC will probably get 3rd and Clips getting home court advantage. The Hawes addition was one of my favorite moves in the off season. Can't think of another rim protector and stretch PF/C for that cheap

I'm hoping Griz and Mavs make a lot of noise in the playoffs

honestly, i pull for character. The old lakers had it (bless phil jackson). the new clippers do too. heavy man crush on doc rivers. and blake griffin is one of the most interesting athletes in a while.

so this happened in one of my drafts last night:

conley went for $2. for comparison guys like gordon and lance went for $24 (coincidentally all to the same owner). just about everyone drafting apparently was watching the giants game and the moment the giants beat the cardinals, conley was nominated. and while no one was paying attention slipped for 2 fucking dollars
