MJ can kick his ass if he gets out of line. Not sure if he'll develop as a player, though...

If only every player could be as charismatic, unpredictable and somewhat flamboyant like Tim Duncan. How exciting this league would be.icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

BOLD PREDICTION... Lance spreads his wings and turns into Latrell Sprewell (the good version when Latrell was actually an ALL NBA Team Talent not the MOUTHS TO FEED, or IMA GONA HAVE TO CHOKE A COACH Latrell).

edit: HOLY SHIT i forgot how awesome Spree was

How I wish we had 1999 Latrell Sprewell on early 1990's Knicks frown.gif

lance isn't as tall or have the same jump out of the roof ups, but he has the same "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK... IMA GOING TO THE HOLE HARD" fearlessness when attacking the basket.. also lance seems to have a better mental defensive game in the same way ron artest knew what to do defensively instinctively.

damn i just lumped Lance with Sprewell AND Metta... I will record all Charlotte games next season. happy.gif

Huge risk for Charlotte. Whose Indy going to get in his place? And they are still stuck with Hibbert.

Love in Indy would be very interesting.

Barkley had the best (derisive) quote about Sprewell back when Sprewell was still with GSW and really had the "I'ma stuff this ball down your phucking mouth" attitude, he said "If Sprewell wasn't a basketball player, he'd be a gangbanger". Sprewell had that Shawn Kemp attitude of it wasn't enough to score, you had to embarass your opponent.

People forget how good the T Wolves team that had him, Cassell and Garnett was.

And uh Dr. Lawrence, did you ever have Sprewells on your car lookaround.gif

Gerald Henderson as your starting 2 guard is a huge risk. Lance for that money is a great deal.

Locker room risk, not health.

I think the "locker room risk" thing gets overplayed. Rodman, WorldPeace, Bison Dele, and Rasheed Wallace all have rings. Oakley would undoubtedly have been considered a batshit crazy locker room risk had he not become MJ's sidekick.
Yeah that's obvious but the risk isn't huge unless you have a romantic interest in him. When you're an 8th seed in the East if it doesn't work they haven't really lost much.

If that were true, he'd still be a Pacer at 11m a year. And he would have had a lot more suitors. Indiana made a weak offer, perhaps even hoping he'd go. He also got a shorter deal that made sense for a guy his age. Lastly, there are different kinds of locker room problem guys, and the modern tolerance for it is less than it used to be.
