and then whenever there's a knicks fan call in from any of the ESPN NY radio shows they start talking about "phil's eleven rings" like a kid talking about his dad's vintage model train collection.

its like some knick fans think the knicks are some storied franchise up there with the bulls, lakers, or celtics.. facepalm.gif

I don't doubt there's a historical wealth of NBA talent that comes out of the NYC metropolitan area, but that doesn't mean the knicks deserve any credit.

Funny, isn't NY always calling Chicago a pretender "Second City"? Boston and LA to a lesser extent

Now who's pretending? smile.gif

i want to actually see the knicks do well (actually as a boston native and celtics fan I don't and love to see them fail), but just like living in southern california in the late 80's as a kid and seeing legit diehard laker fans, living in brooklyn for 5 years showed me there are legit knicks fans as well but damn these motherfuckers can be delusional about the knick's historical relevance pertaining to the NBA.

last year I watched a ton of games with my knick fan friends and I ended up feeling bad for them (because the knicks sucked so bad, but were super duper entertaining), but then they'll start talking about how the knicks "deserve" a championship and then its fun to hate on them again.

the spurs have 3x better history than the knicks tongue.gif george gervin is a legend, but they aren't like knick fans who think that bernard king is some legendary near jordan entity lol8[1].giffacepalm.gif

I Love Knicks/NY haters, always trying to bring up their shitty cities/teams by bringing us down. No one cares when some shit city team does well or does awful but NY is always at the forefront regardless of how we are doing. Knicks make more money than pretty much any team in the league. Any superstar on any team would instantaneously be more famous/richer/more endorsements by simply playing in NY and pretty much all of them, except those that play in LA, if given the choice, would play in NY over some midwest/southern crap city. True story.

Not sure if I like the home kit, but the away kit looks pretty sweet.

^ NYC the city is great and all, don't get me wrong.

But Knicks are losers.

MSG is a dump. It's the NBA equivalent of the Metrodome or the Superdome or the Oakland Coliseum.

And for Knick fans to boast about Phil being the GM is just presumptuous.

Also, last I checked the Bulls and Lakers were way ahead of Knicks in profitability. A couple rings will do that

It was a crime that Penn Station had to get torn down for that abomination

Too bad the city will probably give MSG a new lease. Current plan is to evict the company from the site in 2023, but doubt that happens
