btw, I don't get why the Rockets didn't match Parsons. now that they didn't get Bosh, I think that his floor spacing becomes even more important to the team, yes?

Too expensive when you have Trevor Ariza at $8 mil/year who does the same thing and is arguably better on the defensive end.

still appreciative of an ownership and management that has given us the most titles in the last 10 years (tied with SA), but this team is shaping up to be the new Atlanta Hawks. but Riles has earned the benefit of the doubt, so let's see him work

1. Money
You gotta give people something to be at least a bit enthusiastic about, would be a pretty harsh transition to go from finals to lottery in one year. It's not LAL in Miami these seats would be empty.

2. Dwayne Wade
you can't waste probably his last 3 three decent years by tanking, especially after he won you first ever championship and got LeBron to join, that would be slap in the face. At least give him chance to compete. This team can make 2nd round or even ECF in the east.

3. Draft picks available are not very impressive;
2015: No first round picks; two second round picks (Sacramento; only if in 50-55 range)
2016: One first round pick; no second round picks
2017: One first round pick; no second round picks

4. Tanking doesn't work as well as advertised imo, most teams don't end up like OKC, most teams end up like Timberwolves or 1999-2009 Bulls... Plus you have prime Bosh what is the chance you will draft player this good in next 5 years? So far Miami doesn't have any really bad contracts so they have flexibility if Boshes Heat will be a massive fail, they can trade/upgrade/blow up pretty fast.

Feel sorry for Houston the way everything panned out. For a second there, they looked like they were building a juggernaut with Bosh and Howard. Melo to Bulls would have been perfect, but I guess he heard about Thibodeau's practices and that was that.

There you are, you guys disappeared after the first few games but now that you're back, I love the two out of four finals line. Seems that's the consolation #heatnation is grasping onto after your boy jumped ship before implosion lol8[1].gif

2 out of 4 finals is pretty damn good. just getting to the finals is tough. lakers haven't even gone to the finals much less the conference finals in the past 4 years and probably won't get there for another 4

lakers didnt do shit in the offseason. While the loss of Lebron means the Heat are at best an ECF team, they atleast stayed competitive by bringing back Bosh and Wade and Co. while adding Deng and a couple solid big men in Granger and McBob. Lakers can't even say as much. Overpayed for Hill, Lost Pau, brought on another slow PG. Kobe is going to end his career having already played his last playoff game in the west conference

it doesn't matter if you get to the finals and lose though son
post #17292 of 27247
dude are you for real? they won twice and went to the finals four times. name the last team that's ever done that
post #17293 of 27247
wow, cool story

they still lost two
Not even Jordan's Bulls or the Shaqobe Lakers did it.

So it must be the Russell Celtics. All three of those teams have a much better winning series percentage though shog[1].gif

Edit: Magic/Kareem Lakers did it. They went 2 for 4 too laugh.gif

1984 to 1987 celtics went to finals 4 times and won two. those were some pretty awesome teams tho. larry bird in his prime was unstoppable. knocks down any open shots, the behind the back assists, the double team drawing drives, so good

how is winning 2 losing 2 a bad thing at all? the fact that they got to the finals 4 times in a row is extremely rare. there's only ever been two other teams. 1984 to 1987 celtics and 1982 to 1985 lakers
