You don't think he took an easier path when he teamed up with Wade and Bosh in 2010?

Anyways Lebron is a chump, because he chooses to look for the exit when things get tough. He is not a real competitor like his idol Jordan, and has always been very self-serving. I know that "the decision" happened years ago, but he's still that same person. Have no problem with him choosing the Cavs. He can do whatever he wants. Just don't think he is a great competitor.

Yea man please, he should be more like Jordan. Fuck giving millions of dollars to charity, he should use his Hall of Fame induction speech to criticize his high school basketball coach and fight against the interests of the players during a lockout.

Eh, it's convenient to look at Jordan in hindsight and say that he didn't wimp out by teaming up with his competitor, but the reality is that he couldn't. The Bulls had Jordan and Pippen (literally the GOAT and #25 GOAT) under team control for like 8 seasons at like 25% of the team salary cap.

The salary cap worked much differently in those days, and he was under a very very crappy contract compared to the players of today all the way through the 1995-1996 season (Pippen's was even worse). Please understand that I'm not talking about the real dollars of the contract, but his salary in relation to the salary cap at the time.

In the 1995-1996 season, his salary was $3.85MM. The total salary cap in that year was $23.0MM, or about one-sixth of the total cap. Compare that to LeBron who made $17.5MM in the 2012-2013 season, when the salary cap was $58MM, or about 30%.

Combine that cap flexibility with Phil Jackson, who is probably the #1 or #2 coach of all time in the NBA, and it provided the Bulls with a significant competitive advantage compared to most of the league.

And Dennis Rodman. But that had nothing to do with Jordan's success, Jordan "just wanted it more."

Jordan had the Heart of a Champion.

That must take the place of a human heart.

Miami Heat's most pressing question: how do we reach the salary minimum?
WTF apparently Bosh is going to resign with Miami.
that would be a shock. Houston is tailor fit for him but then again Bosh might be a "better competitor" than lebron and willing to stick it out in Miami

edit - Bosh stays with Miami. Nice. I would like to see the heat compete next year. Maybe they can sign a loul deng or trevor ariza

lol, Houston gave away Jeremy Lin to accommodate Bosh and got bitch slapped

The last one? He was an owner. Unless you mean something else.

I don't get why Bosh would resign. He'd be on a champion caliber team in Houston, is the 5th year really worth getting stuck in first round playoff exit oblivion? Wade is fading fast and you know they're going to resign him to a gigantic contract and overpay him.
