it's so true. if the mavs had the lucky picks the spurs had we wouldn't be talking about just 1 championship for the mavs.

dirk and melo seem like such a overlapping combo tho. they're both not good at defense, they both prefer being stretch 4s. i feel like mavs needs a great center (which they got), a pick n roll guard (which they have), and young 3 and D shooters (not a lot of 2 way wings tho)

IT2 is a small, ball hogging guard, with poor defense. he's not CP3

there's just a paucity of talent. there really are only 15 players who can make a franchise and another 10-15 true stars. after that its arizas and players like that

Randle and Payton look like they'll could get a tonne of burn.

maybe 2 years ago. this year he was great. knows when to assists, his drives are on point, three ball if you give him too much space. he can defend pretty decently too and gets good steals. his efficiency kinda sucks, but he was asked to do a lot. considering he looks like midget on court he was actually pretty good

like top 5 pg in the west good

but yeah he's not CP3

i think exum could be the next kobe. he has the tools.

nah top 5

CP3, curry, westbrook, lillard, IT2

you could argue mike conley for the 5th but we're splitting hairs. the only argument i could see to come from a noob is parker, but parker barely played 30 minutes and pretty much all the stats advanced or otherwise puts him either middle of the pack or really low

thinking about the sixers after the draft day trade where they took payton at 10 (cuz magic obviously wanted it) and turned him into saric, a future first, and a second, hinkie basically turned jrue holiday into noel, sari, a future 1st, and a future 2nd

totally fleecing the league

sorry. tony parkour is much better than IT2. forget metrics. I'm talking winning and balling when it counts. PG is the player most responsible for team success in my opinion, as they are the engine of the team. dragic is better than IT2 also. So is rubio. So is Bledsoe. So is the guy on NO.

sorry winning isn't everything. luke walton has championship rings. parker is a liability on defense and his team actually plays slightly better when he's benched although that's a testament to the spurs more than anything

i said west so new orleans doesn't count. rubio is definitely not better than IT2. i could see arguments for dragic, but i'd rather have conley if anything and i'd have IT2 over conley. and bledsoe was injured for half the year so no

actually thinking about it dragic was pretty amazing, i revise my list to top 6

NO is in the west. Conley and Rubio are better than IT. So is the PG from NO.

wow all this time i thought new orleans was the east.

you can't even name the pg from NO. you should watch jrue holiday play sometimes. he was great last year but this year with NO he was pretty bad.

and nah rubio isn't better than IT2 cuz he can't shoot worth a lick (watch a wolves game nobody bothers guarding rubio) and conley is better than IT2 at defense, but IT2's contribution on offense slightly skews the overall decision to IT2
