Even better was Vince Carter not even needing a crossover to take him to the hole.

On every other podcast, he always seems to find a way to shoehorn how he's won on every level (except you know, when it actually mattered)

Ha, he stole that line from Shaq. I still remember Shaq (pre- Laker championships, probably after losing with Orlando) insisting that he was a winner because he had won at every level, except college and the NBA.

he hasn't even won anything. at least juwan howard got a ring with the heats. not even the much vaunted fab 5 won a ncaa championship

I liked how he broke down the situation in Miami form players perspective, it seemed kinda plausible to me (Wade re-negotiating contract; less $/year more years and Melo not leaving money on the table in NYK)

If Westbrook retires without winning a chip, I could see him joining the likes of Jalen and Barkley in the analysts' table. The opportunity to show off his wardrobe alone would be too much for him to pass up

yeah i mean it wasn't a dig at you

he's an entertaining analyst but sometimes he just says shit to say shit. like when they were talking about chris bosh being sneaky good at rim protecting (so is dwade and lebron james) he should've just said i don't know enough about the subject matter to keep talking. instead he just said words that don't answer the question and don't contribute anything just because he was to embarrassed to say he didn't know enough about the analytics of it

He also has this really annoying habit of answering questions he asked himself. For example,

Sage: "Miami is down 2-1. It's not looking good for the Heat. Your thoughts, Jalen?"

Jalen: "The Spurs might have shot lights out. But who does the Heat have? Ohhhhhhh,, that's right!! LeBron James!!"

Real valuable insight, jackass

I liked the video series he and Simmons did where he'd talk in oblique terms about which NBA cities had the best parties and hookers

lol seems likely, I love Barkley though he is entertaining and sometimes he has a valuable insight too

Yeah, I think you guys have talked about it here as well (and I agree) that Barkley offers the most reasonable insight amongst retirees. Being a Bulls fan, I am partial to Steve Kerr too. Everyone else just makes me want to put the television on mute.

Kenny is probably the worst by far

Embiid injury bodes ill for my Sixers. I don't like the idea of a 7-footer hurting his back then breaking his foot before even entering the NBA.
