Leonard made 2nd team NBA all defense. But facts are misleading. People in this thread know more.
Starting 5 Spurs= Miami
It's like a math equation. But those can be misleading...
The Spurs just beat someone who would blow Miami off the court.
But for ONE SHOT last year a different team would be looking to repeat.
Disclaimer: Spurs fan who only comes out during the playoffs.
You could have written the same equations last year too and the Spurs didn't win. Yes, yes, very lucky in game 6 I know. The Spurs had their own pieces of luck, the teams were incredibly evenly matched over all so your equations are pretty clearly off. I'd suggest the place they are off is that the starting 5 for Miami > Spurs.
Claiming the Thunder would blow Miami off the court ignores the evidence of actual gameplay and rather undermines any claim you have to logic.
They'd be just as crucial in a 2-3-2 tbh. If Miami can't crack the Spurs in the first two games it's a long way back.
The first game is going to be a peach. Can't imagine anyone who watches basketball not wanting to watch it. All the theorycrafting in the world goes out the window when the game actually starts.
