I was watching the Clippers and thinking about how huge a difference a good coach makes. Upgrading from VDN to Doc was night and day, and totally worth losing a first round pick for.
If OKC did the same thing and got rid of Brooks (only catch here is I don't know who's available - if Indy got rid of Vogel I would sign him as quick as I could get my private jet out there), they would absolutely get the same effect. If someone like Vogel could put Russ and KD in some kind of motion offense like Spoelstra did with his guys, and start using Ibaka like what he is - one of the better/most underrated stretch 4's in the game - these guys will be ridiculous. Their big 3 actually might be better than the Heat's big 3, they just lack even a rudimentary system, and they have these pointless pieces like Perkins and Fisher (sorry Derek, I'm a fan of your career work, but today all you do to earn minutes is to bomb a timely 3 or two, and make the color commentator gush nostalgic things)
Anyway, Thunder 3 vs Heat 3:
Lebron, Durant cancel each other out
Wade in decline, not better than Westbrook
Ibaka doesn't have as much shooting range as Bosh, but he hits most long 2's and is an absolute monster on D, where Bosh is a limp noodle
