the only true way to assess who would be the best overall team would be not to have a playoffs and just do it English Premier League soccer style and whomever has the best record at the end of the year is the champion. that way ever single regular season game becomes a huge war and the spurs would probably end up winning every other year.
Sort of agree.
Playoffs are a pretty American concept, and the regular season is just a long drawn out seeding exercise which generates revenue and highlights but not as much competitive, hard nosed ball. I often thought the season could be split in two. I would love to see a 50 game season and an international competition like the Champion's League. It would raise the profile of basketball around the world.

Or what if it was SA v OKC. I'd much rather see that as a finals matchup than Miami. The idea is the 2 best teams in the league should reach the finals. The best 3 teams in the league are in the West and would all likely top the Heat.
Clips vs Dubs in the 1st round and with Blake being on the limit of his techs, I have a feeling some dirty play will be used to try and take him out of a few games. I really hope it doesn't come to that.
Maybe dude should stop using his forearm to clear space like a fullback. . . Honestly that bitch gets one of the most generous whistles in the Association. Fuck him and the rest of the anointed "faces."
Most generous? Dude gets beat up like Shaq in the middle and gets no calls.
And you can't even say that Bogut encounter wasn't intentional, just another BS tactic to get Blake out of the game. Dude had like 30+pts and 10+ rebs when he got kicked out with plenty of time to play.
Bitches do get stitches and that's why the asshole Bogut is out again and Lee is as soft as a pussy can get in the league and always hurt.
Don't be mad just because Blakes been able to bang in the paint while being smart enough not to play with stupid people who tries to get tech by goading him and Dubs have to go to low levels of dirty play to win.
Look at that, Bogut grabbing on the jersey and won't let go while running away, talkin bout bitches for sure. Shit is just a notch below KG tough guy schtick.
okc is only paying $70 million in salaries. guys come on. you coulda stepped your game up a bit and had a lasting dynasty. harden even said he would've been ok with a non max salary. goddamn. harden as starting pg and westbrook on bench would've been fucking awesome. or you could've done the rick carlisle thing and just had a rotation of players with a nominal starting lineup that played a lot less than other teams
My stance on him softened after I heard he decked Bieber. Turns out that wasn't true so yeah. I don't know. Does he still stare down guys after he dunks on them? That used to be one of his irritating qualities aside from his shitty commercials
Say what you will about him (he deserves all the negativity coming his way), but Agent Zero was a legit franchise player back in the mid-to-late 2000's. I think it was the '06-'07 season when I seem to remember him hitting game-winner after game-winner. Kobe Bryant went on record saying he was one of the toughest players to guard one-on-one.
And I really liked that Wizards roster with Arenas, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison, Andray Blatche, Deshawn Stevenson, and JaVale McGee. They had a pretty good rivalry going with LeBron's Cavs.
