not sure what you are saying. I loved Lin but he would not have performed as well for them this year as Felton did. He would have deferred to Melo. I think the Knicks would be better served with Lin at PG, if he had the balls/attitude to play his game regardless of Melo but that was never going to happen and Woodson was not a Lin fan. In terms of last year, Lin was hurt before the playoffs, he did not see any time.

This year's "Lin" for the Knicks is Copeland. A scoring machine that can play four position but that Woodson just does not like. He claimed he did not play him due to his weak defense but if that was the case, Melo would never play. They'll ship him off somewhere, get an old big in return and think they are better off confused.gif

Love the avatar. Wonder if I can find an elephant in a Spurs jersey. I always thought Tim Duncan resembled a giraffe.

But whatever, I don't really care either way, I am a basketball fan and when my team is out of it (or even when they are in it), I try not to get caught up in the hype and look at matchups and things like defense, rebounding and benches which is why I knew Miami was not going to cruise past Indiana even though everyone had Miami winning the series in 4-5 games. Miami would have the same issues if they were playing the Knicks and will have the same issues if they beat Indiana and play the Spurs. I expect Miami to win tonight because in a game 7 at home, with the best player on either team in LeBron, it would take a career game from multiple Pacers to pull it off, but I do expect it to be close.

This could be Miami's last chance for a chip with this cast. Assuming no major moves next year from any eastern conference team, I have Miami as second/third best team in the East next year, maybe forth best. And depending on how the West shakeouts with Howard, the West might have 2-3 teams better than Miami next year.

I said Miami would have no problem with Pacecars, so mea culpa. I based that on Indiana going to Miami during the streak, both teams looking to win, and Miami handling them. That, and Indiana running 5 deep would be their Achilles heel. I think the latter held true; Indiana followed all of their hardfought victories by being blown out. But kudos to people who said the Heat couldn't handle West/George and Hibbert. They were right; I was wrong.

Indiana should be able to bring everybody back; if they can work Granger into a backup role and find one more rotation player, they could well be dominant.

This is kind of a offtopic thought, but:

Hibbert walked off the court right as the game ended, didn't shake hands with anybody. I guarantee nobody in the media mentions this. It was a huge deal (to the sports media) when Lebron did the same. Double standards run both ways.

Hibbert isn't the leagues #1 star though, not even top 10, not even top 20 or likely not even top 50.

Dude got a lot of shit for saying No Homo, got fined $75k iirc.

I agree sportmanship should always be present there but Hibbert isn't even touching Lebron in popularity, Lebron and his hairline is the face of the league and he has been for almost what, 5-6 years now? He's been a big deal ever since he got in the league unlike Hibbert who was not really present until the Pacers got to the playoffs. Dude was an All Star last year but disappeared this year.

I'm just comparing the scope of things, no matter what happens, Lebrons actions will be multiplied 100x more just being the face of the NBA.

I get being enthusiastic and pumped up for the game but when you are one of the 3 stars and you haven't done much to help the team win, just relax and let your game speak for you. If he was a bench player getting some shine, I'd give him a pass but dude needs to chill until he actually contribute and be of some relevance to the win.

Calm down, man

So, how did the Heat win? Defense? Offense? Bad officiating? THE LEAGUE? Missed the entire game while still @ work.
Listening to the replay now on TNT OT Hmm..does not feel the sam.

come on guys no surprise they want heat in the finals

and lol @ the hibbert comment above which rfx pretty much destroyed due to the retarded assumption
post #11999 of 27206
this is a finals with both sides having two of the greatest most fundamentally sound players ever. a great scoring guard and legit centers seems to do well against the heat. my gut says heat in 6 - but with wade not being healthy and the pacers exposing the heats weaknesses the spurs look like they could beat the heat easily at this point in time (because of their health and coaching).

man I can't wait for the flopping manu will bring to this series. bodies could be flying across the court when wade and Manu get within millimeters of each other.

ferocious effort on defense and rebounding, they actually out rebounded the Pcers significantly for once. and the offense was a lot more balanced, no Lebron hero ball, and Wade finally showed up in a big way.

officiating wasn't an issue. the Heat had a huge free throw disparity but that's because they attacked the basket relentlessly. I really didn't see the Pacers complaining about calls much, except for Gerald Green, who hilariously jumps on top of Lebron after biting on a fake, and then strenuously complains about being whistled.

the refs actually refused to call a bunch of Miami flops which I think was very well done
