its pragmatic. any team is better with carmelo on it. rondo, perkins, melo is the nucleus for another future champion. the way this team is set up mirrors the late 80's-early 90's celtics (whom I watched a ton) where they got old and it was too late to trade off pieces (or the management was too loyal). sure they lost Bias in 86' but they lucked upon reggie lewis and could have traded to start up another contender.

Should I just listen to you magpies babble in unison about how the Lakers will threepeat when such a feat is incredibly difficult and the wheels are coming off the Lady wagon?

Back to the bet:

Me in a Kobe jersey

vs. you two in the Spurs jersey of my choice (prolly someone lame like Jefferson).

We only talk about the Lakers 3peating when you doubt it or talk as if the Spurs won everything already. Phil Jackson has done it 3 times. Spurs hasn't even won back to back championships. Come back talking shit when the Spurs wins at least the first round in the playoffs, until then there really isn't anything to brag about outside of having the best record, which doesn't guarantee a chip.

I'd do that bet as long as it's not required to actually buy the jersey and if you lose and the Lakers win a 3peat, you got to wear a Kobe jersey and put up 6 fingers for his 6th chip.

That was quick. Toronto just released Peja and has already has a verbal agreement to sign with the Mavs.

Does Peja bring ANYTHING to any team? Forgot he was still in the league.

I kind of feel sorry for Gred Oden.

Melo to NJ is off the table. Odds on him getting traded now? 4-1 to NY?
I think Melo will end up in NY. He doesn't want to play anywhere else, I think he's doing Denver a favor by telling them he won't resign unlike lebron. Melo+Cp3+Amare+Gallo and solid center should be pretty good. Not sure where felton will go if CP3 comes to NY tho.

I'm not sure if Peja will be good for Dallas. They need someone who can create, Jkidd is good on the fast break but can't create. Peja is like another jason terry but worst.

Who's gonna buy the jersey?

Can I choose which number?

i dont know if im the first one to say it..
but i think Blake Griffin is a more athletic specimen and talented athlete than lebron james is.

Rumors of Steph Curry available for trade... Any chance of him going to Boston?

I think he is more athletic but not more talented. Griffin was somewhat exposed last night against Portland, I know he had a double double but he didn't have the same presence. He had a very hard time scoring on an iso. He has a lot of room to improve and that is saying a lot considering how much of a beast he is but LBJ is averaging like 28/8/8 in his career and instantly led the the crappy Cavs to the playodds, not sure Blake can top that.
