How are the Knicks winning like this? They don't rebound, they don't score in the paint, they're old as shit, etc. Can they really keep this up? They just shoot the hell out of the ball.. Edited by Left Hand - 12/12/12 at 1:08am
Wow! Lake Show is D-U-N! While it's good that the Cavs finally have Irving back in the lineup, it's clear that they are one of the worst teams in the NBA this year. To lose to CLE with or without Irving is a bad sign.
Also, a few days ago somebody was asking why Kareem isn't considered the greatest Laker of all-time. Things you could say in an argument against Kareem include: he couldn't win a title until Magic came, when they finally did win a title game it was when Magic played Kareem's position in a road game in which Kareem didn't even make the trip, you could argue that for the last two titles the Lakers won that he was more of a role player, and during the time that he and Magic played together Magic destroys Kareem in Win Shares both in the regular season and the playoffs. After the first three years of playing together, Magic assumes the throne (his hands were already on the steering wheel)
Kareem's years with the Bucks were incredible, some of the most statistically dominant of any player ever, but after a few years with the Lakers his decline (though slight and slow) had begun.
Somebody was asking about teams that draft well or are able to discover talent better than most. The Bulls probably need to be close to the top on that list. A good deal of their draft picks have worked out very well over the past 10 years. Some may argue that the previous statement is true because most of their draft picks were so high. While this is true, the NBA is littered with #7 or #11 overall picks that haven't turned out to be anything (R.I.P. Robert Swift). Throw in Amir Asik and Taj Gibson and I think they are one of the better drafting teams in the NBA at present.
meh... it was a typical infuriating boston win/loss. in that I would've been pissed with either result because they blew a fucking 14pt lead against an inferior team. I can understand if OKC/MIA makes a huge 4th quarter run to come back, but its the inferior teams you should clamp down on and secure the win decisively.
its like they want to win with the least amount of effort, just coast, but this lackadaisical style ends up with results in any scenario:
-suck out win
-loss because of laziness
-overtime win ()
-overtime loss ()
the overtime scenarios are the fucking worst because they have such an old team.
