you're right. knicks played really well. and there was great intensity on both teams. kind of felt like a playoff game.
i was skeptical of how quickly nash could make a difference, but there's absolutely no doubt he has turned the team around (at least thus far). tight game and kobe didn't feel the need to take over. and you could really see the result -- double coverage on kobe and dwight and pau had about as wide-open a lane as i've ever seen.

Lin finally figuring out how to play with the team, he is actually averaging 19ppg and 9apg the last four game that all resulted in wins. Is it Linsanity all over again? We got to see how long it lasts but he is proving most critics here wrong and that he can in fact play.

Also, LA baby LA

Props to the Lakers (5 straight wins) and Clips (14 straight wins). Clippers are the best team in the league right now after OKCs 2 consecutive loses, I knew they were loaded but damn I don't think much expected them to be in the #1 spot in the league at anytime this season and most of the Clips wins have been double digits too. Really hope they finish December undefeated. Clippers against Boston on Thursday will be a good game to watch.

i love watching the clips, but i don't think their record accurately reflects where they are right now. seems to me they've had a run of middling-to-good opponents, but haven't really been tested. we'll see where they are against the celtics.

Well to be fair, the Clips used to collapse and fail towards the end of games even after leading and winning 14 games in a row isn't an easy task in the NBA no matter who you play.

Keep in mind though that the Clips has beaten the Spurs and Chi twice, along with Mia, Atl and Mem even before this long streak. It is still hard to imagine them winning it all (maybe reach the Conference Finals is their best bet?) but this is still an impressive run.

The Clippers are the NBA equivalent of this year's Houston Texans/Atlanta Falcons.

no doubt ... didn't mean to diss them. i mean, this is donald sterling's team, right? i said at the start of the season that the clips were going to be the team to watch until christmas, and then we'd see how the lakers were doing ... i didn't really anticipate the lakes having quite THAT much ground to make up, but i think i'll still stand by that prediction.

and what is up with the Nets confused.gif How does a team that start DWill, Wallace, Johnson, and Lopez with Blatche and Watson off the bench score less than 80 points? I don't think Johnson makes it to the All Star break as coach if they continue playing at this level. The owner was obviously expceting them to compete for the Eastern conference this year.

I think Sterling might be taking a step back from all that has been going on with the Clips, all the moves have just solid and good as of late for him to be involved.

No idea what that reference means, really don't follow anything else other than the NBA.

People thought a Miami team with Lebron, Wade and Bosh flanked by a bunch of career 40% 3pt shooters would blow teams out of the water... turns out, they were defense first.

Great records, mostly against mediocre teams, no one's banking on them getting very far in the playoffs.

Ahh, gotcha. Though I could see the Clips going further than they did last year, just not all the way.

Though I do kind of want them to win it all so CP3 stays, I feel the same about the Lakers though so that Dwight would stay. I just have a feeling neither of those two guys would stay if they come short this year. Dwight has more chance of staying because it seems like dude is perfect for Hollywood but I could see CP3 walking away from the Clips if they do not get the chip this year.

Where would CP3 go?

CP3 could go where ever a team could throw huge amounts of money at him and still be contenders, Dallas is the first team that comes to mind. They have a lot of cap room and they have been looking for that one franchise player they could sign and that is why the team is full of 1-year contracted players.

Houston would have been there too before they signed Harden. NY is always a possibility too, he always wanted to play with Melo. Orlando and Phoenix would probably highly interested too, Phoenix probably expected more than what they are getting with Dragic. Clips does look like they are getting along off the court and CPs family is probably loving LA so hopefully that is enough.

I don't see why CP3 would leave.

Clips can pay him the most money. He gets to live in LA and enjoy the media perks that come along with it. There really isn't a better combination of veteran talent and future upside out there that can make him an offer.

That being said, it's the clippers.
