it was even cooler in real time. the game was still kind of close -- iirc, about 8 points and 3 minutes or so left. he blocks that shot and does his glower, then somehow beats everyone down the floor to jam on the other end. 6 point lead turned into a 8 point lead. next play, another steal and that second slam off the barnes backboard pass. if detroit had scored on both plays, it would have been a 4 point lead ... as it was they were safely ahead. but ballsy play.

This. Bledsoe & co are really filling the gaps.

Dubs are balling right now. Really good basketball being played:

I've been rather happy with David Lee and the last few drafts as well.

Fucking pouty bitch. I hope he keeps getting those "hard" fouls, he's earned every single one of them.

Against the Knicks he actually went to his left very well, multiple times. That has been his issue but he seems to be working on it. I think Felton "psyched" himself out in that game. He says all the right things about being happy for Lin and how everything worked out for both of them but you know he wants to have a game where he scores 30 on Lin. I wouldn't be surprised if Lin gets traded before the deadline though.

According to The Times-Picayune, there was a report that an attorney has filed trademarks for the NBA regarding a nickname change for the New Orleans Hornets.

Those recently trademarked are New Orleans Pelicans, New Orleans Rougarou, New Orleans Mosquitos, New Orleans Swamp Dogs and New Orleans Bullsharks.

The newspaper reports the teams released this statement Tuesday night: "This is an ongoing process still being discussed but the eventual decision is in the hands of the NBA."

Half of those sound like semi-pro traveling team names.

Man, Serge Ibaka is putting up some offense. Its making a huge difference to that team. Goes after shots without hesitation. The guy is very impressive.

Tim Duncan... has anyone other than Kareem or Stockton been this effective in their 16th season? Wow.
