I just wish team owners/management didn't feel like they had the mandate or the need just to blatantly lie abou this stuff. Jim Buss gave Brown a fucking vote of confidence YESTERDAY. if you're planning to (or seriously considering) firing the guy, why not be noncommittal? now every head coaching candidate is going to look at him and think, do I really want to work for this two-faced fuck?

Phil Jackson is supposed to speak in Chicago this upcoming week at a Charles Schwab Conference. It just so happens that as of the firing of Mike Brown today, Phil cannot make the event for "last minute developments"

HYPE! hope its Lakers

Every owner in the league is likely like that anyways and probably not limited to the NBA either.

the worst part is that he'll get the ball, put his head down and try to worm his way to the rim. doesn't work against experienced NBA defenders unless you're supremely gifted like Lebron, and i could tell his teammates were getting a little pissed at his ball stopping.
i'm sure he'll get better after a few more games, but he needs a strong coach to beat the ballhog gene out of his system. experience tells us that it's not easy to do

The times that I saw him play, I was shocked that scouts thought he was NBA ready and more shocked that his dad did not force him to stay in school and build up his body and his skills. Its not like he went to the draft because he needed the money. He was at least 2 years away from being NBA caliber and jumping into the NBA so soon is going to retard, not help his growth.

I hope the Lakers get Isiah Thomas to coach.

i think in any corporate setting, the absolute worst thing that can happen to you is to have the ceo confirm that he has the ultimate in faith and trust in your performance.

Couldn't believe he was lottery material. He's undersized height and weight for a 2, average handles, average athleticism, average defender, a ball hog and way too streaky of a shooter.

Even though I wish the Lackers a winless season, I know he is looking at that roster and saying to himself "I could do something here"

With that roster, Betty White should be able to get them a ring.
