Would have liked Nash with the Knicks more so than Kidd just because I wanted to see how good the offense could be with him, Melo, Stat and Chandler.

I wonder what the Mavs are going to do at this point with most of their targets basically gone lol

I think Pau is less likely to get traded now that they have Nash, but if he does, it will probably be for something like Iguodala and Thad Young or something of the like.

Iggy? He is baby Lebron, he needs the ball in his hands to be worth the price. He isn't a great spot up shooter or even range shooter. No point in having his with Kobe and Nash handling the ball.

I really wouldn't trade him for Young either, anything that would make them smaller is simply a bad idea.

By about the 20th-25th game I am thinking that calls for Woodson/Dolan/Melo's heads will start. Kidd is a good enough PG, he understands the flow of the game and is not going to make a mistake to cost you the game. The problem is that he is not going to take on the Carmelo project of convincing him to take less shots/rebound more. Melo's issue with Lin was that he was not "used to a point guard having the ball so much"?? Cockknocker, he is the point guard, that is is job!! Yours is to move around, get open, create a double team and then pass to a cutter/open man. Woodson is not going to really challenge Carmelo, is easier to keep your job is you are losing with the status quo than if you are losing by shaking things up. Also, woodson does not like Lin, so expect the 39 year old Kidd to log over 20 minutes a game.

At least to compete in the East, the Knicks don't really need any players. They could use a pure shooting guard but other than that, when you look at the talent, they have enough to win. Unfortunately the talent does not meld together. What they really needed was a Riley/Jackson type coach that would read players the riot act (and get them traded) if they did not do what was needed to win. Instead we have the starstruck Dolan, that just wants big "names" on the team to fill seats and Woodson who seems to hold grudges against players and will only last as long as he keeps Melo happy.

I'm betting Pau gets traded

3 team trade with the Hawks and team X for the Lakers to get JOSH SMITH!!!! FOR THE MOST EXCITING OFFENSE EVAR!!!!

edit:

At first I was joking, but:

I just did a three way trade in the NBA trade machine that actually makes sense:

hawks get:
louis scola
kyle lowry

Lakers get:
Josh smith

Houston gets:
Pau Gasol

edit #2: ****,,,,while I was typing this kyle lowry gets traded to the raptors :p

Lin leaving NY, going to the Rockets. No point in in staying in NY for less money especially after Woodson wouldn't let him plays as a PG anyways.

Jeremy Lin has verbally agreed to sign a four-year offer sheet with the Houston Rockets on July 11, according to a source close to the talks.

The four-year deal would be worth an estimated $30-plus million.

A report in The New York Post on Wednesday, citing a league source, said the Rockets were planning to offer Lin a backloaded deal worth roughly $30 million. According to the same source, the deal would pay Lin $5 million in the first season, $5.2 million in the second, and then would increase to as much as $10 million per year in the third and fourth seasons.

"Jeremy Lin's an excellent player," Rockets general manager Daryl Morey told The Post. "We got to know him firsthand when he was with the Rockets early this season. We think he'd make a fantastic addition to our team."

The Knicks can offer Lin a four-year deal worth $24.5 million. In 35 games with the Knicks last season, Lin averaged 14.6 points and 6.2 assists per game.

What's going on with the rockets? Why are they blowing up their team. I thought they'd try to build around Kyle Lowry or even dragic
