dont get me wrong. phil is one of the best, if not the best. i just fucking love Pop. i used to be indifferent towards him but the last couple of years has really made me appreciate him/spurs more. last time i felt this way: Jordan's final year in 97-98'. everything he did meant a little more and carried resonance

Hate to make this comparison because it's been done to death but I truly believe Pop is the Belichick of the NBA. Not just from a personality standpoint but like the point above, consistency throughout the years despite varied players and systems. Much like the Pats too, the championship drought despite coming close couple times is painful to watch if you're a fan. Pop and the Spurs are obviously more likeable though. laugh.gif

Yea me too NAMOR, but lately I am a big fan. Especially when I left Celtics bandwagon, Spurs are all that is left from MINE nba. They play great though. Parker is such a great scorer and passer, 99% of time does the right thing, and he's also nice to watch like Steve Nash was. Ginobili and Duncan though are clearly out of their primes but still are playing good ball, especially Duncan. He was such a beast on d once. That's why their style changed, they can't count on him defensively like they did in the past.

Lame thing about spurs is that they call Duncan PF all the time, while he is clearly a C. Most time he always spent on floor was on center. LAME LAME LAME

Really depends who they hire as coach next but unless they got someone good, the current roster will be a 7th to 8th seed the most w/o Duncan & Pop.

Their roster is good but every year it is always seems like over achieving for a reason, most of the wins can be contributed to Pop for sure.

I'd be very surprised if that current roster w/o Pop and Duncan can be better than 7th seed, it'll be like Phoenix surprised.

Probably the best course of action, but nobody can truly replace Popovich.  Mike Budenholzer, a Popovich understudy, isn't exactly working magic in Atlanta (I know it's his first year, but I'm still unimpressed).

That's 51 the hard way. I think he only made two 3 point shots.

And the second one was a half court heave.

Olé defense though, dude just drove and really just got fouled, 2-3 times?

Asik just let dude do a lay-up drill there for a few points. lol8[1].gif

Never have I seen a player make so many off balance shots. Love to see it happen to cool dude like brewer. Hoping it happens to swaggy p so we can all do it again smile.gif

that's a regular nba defense it wasn't bad, it's not like these were easy uncontested layups though,

nobody in the world scores 50 on a perfect defense, so obv it wasn't perfect but it was nba defense

Oof, Miami beats Indiana without Wade, and loses to Atlanta at full strength. Of all the Wade-Bosh-Lebron teams, this one is the one that has the most letdowns after big games. I don't know what their season record is against likely East opponents, but I'm certain that it's not good (i know Brooklyn swept them )

I hope Nets sweep them again :D

Not discrediting what he did, it was impressive but that was simply bad defense on the Rockets end. Most of his baskets were in the paint, no way he could have done that if Dwight was there or against a better defensive team like Chicago or San Antonio.

Looking at the video it looks like most of it was scored in transition and rockets are really bad at transition defense. It's odd tho because they're very mobile and pretty decent at transition offense. It's almost like they're so out of breath and stamina trying to run a fast go go ball they can't get back on defense fast enough
