NBA 2014-2015 Season Thread - Page 903

when bynum was with the lakers his reputation was much more of being a flake than being a cancer. IE: he was an immature kid who would do stupid stuff. He wasn't someone who would deliberately sabotage his teammates (or sleep with their mothers).

Suns looking at getting Pau, time to move him but I am not sure getting Okafor is the best option for the Lakers. Both are expiring contracts though.

are lakers really planning on trading pau? i thought pau would be like duncan. forever a laker.

i can't really tell how many of these things are just rumors sportswriters float because they're bored, and how many are true. so far i think this is teh fourth or fifth rumor this year. they follow a fairly predictable pattern -- they're rumored on the internet, then get written up as a near-certainty, then you get headlines like this one from this morning "Gasol trade would be complicated" (working from memory ... something like that).
one thing's for certain, though ... there's only one laker for life and it's not gasol.

Pau? Forever a Laker? He's been on the "trading block" ever since they stopped winning championships. lol8[1].gif

Pau to the Suns is just a report that the Suns are pursuing but really all these are rumors until something big happens, like the deal going through or Stern killing the deal.

this is true. i just wish there was more team loyalty in the league. i like it when players stay on one team for long term and taking pay cuts to get better players for the team to develop

The thing that needs a lot of winning and having a great coach, Pop and Duncan is a great example, i think they've been together for 17 years now and that is insane if you think about it and they've had maybe one losing season? Doubt we'll ever see something like that again.

Kobe being a Laker for life for a price, can't blame him for taking the money offered though.

So do the owners.

this. the only reason the players get paid so much is that the owners decide they have that much money to spend. and if that money wasn't going to the players, it would be going to the owners. i would like it if the players and the owners decided ticket prices were too high and so they were BOTH going to take a pay cut in order to lower them. I would also like it if I went home tonight and ms. foodguy suddenly looked like salma hayek.
