Collison had his breakout season playing behind Paul in NO. I think its a great signing by LAC

Bynum is whack. The man has so little leverage and he's loosing what little of it he has left.

Colisson had so much potential before but he has fallen off badly. I think he is a better option than Beldsoe though, less athletic but has better court vision and range.

Not sure this is the right move by the Lakeshow, is Kaman any better than Dwigth in DAntonis system?

The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to terms with free agent center Chris Kaman on a one-year deal, according to sources with knowledge of the deal.

If a 1 year deal is any indication, I don't think anyone knows. He was marginalized in Dallas.

Hey, Kaman is a good pickup. Wasn't he a solid 12/10/2 for a long time with the Clips? He'll cost a lot less money and dwightmares too.

Yah but that was before anyone was remotely good in the Clips (I think) plus DAntonis system is a running team, Kaman is more of a post-up iso guy or a quick mid-range shooter. He is much, much slower than Dwight. I am just not sure he is the best fit at center for the Lakers.

I was kind of looking forward to seeing a Lakers team focused on Gasol at center. Seemed like the only upside of losing Bynum/Howard was letting Pau play his natural position. Guess they will try to move him for picks.

Lakers doesn't really do picks.

And getting Kaman pretty much says they want Pau as a PF for most of the game.

the upcoming fantasy bball season is going to be epic.

Wade is no longer a first rounder
Kobe looks like a good 3rd rounder
Rondo's value is a huge question mark
Harden is a top 3 pick
Dirk and Westbrook are both 2nd rounders

1. Lebron
2. Durant
3. Harden
4. Paul
5. Love

I say Westbrook is still a first round pick for sure, I don't know how that would change, he'll be good and ready next season. Same way Rose will be back to being a first rounder again next season, likely top 10 if not 5 once 100%.

They also said Kobe was a goner last year due to his knee and dude beasted. I think he went close to 3rd round in our league here and just dominated like no one expected. I give him at least a late 1st/early 2nd round. People will take a chance at him if he is close 100% in the beginning of next season especially now that he is the undisputed #1 option once again.

Dirk, he isn't hurt this off-season so we'll see. He'd still be first rounder if he actually plays 100% to start the season, Calderon also helps his value a bit. I mean really, I am not sure how you can put Love 5th and Dirk as 2nd roudner when Love only played 18 games last season and missed plenty a season before that too.

Im not overpaying for an injured player who suffered a critical injury (e.g. knee, ankle). However I am more optimistic about Love because of his age and relatively "minor" injury (hand). Having had all 6 months to rest an injury that otherwise requires 2-3 months to heal, I feel good with him at number 5. Rose will be a late first rounder and whoever picks him will probably enjoy a great season. He needs to show me that he is a 3-7 guy again.

I fully believe in beast Kobe as did the manager who drafted him at the beginning of round 2. No reason he couldnt replicate his great season except for his injury, which according to the doctors, should heal around christmas. I dont think he will be ready for Nov 1. Even if he does beat the timeline, he risks aggravating the injury. When its all said and done, Kobe will miss at least a quarter of the season. Not worth the risk for an old, high-octane player

That same hand injury made Love miss 64 games last season. Love is becoming a notorious with injuries so I really wouldn't pick him in the top10, maybe a 10th pick if George, Irving, Curry, Westbrook, Batum and maybe even Ibaka. I'd have to really see Love play in the off-season.

Westbrook is still pretty young and has been injury free/reliable before the playoffs so he is still easily top 5. He'll bounce right back up. I believe he is off the crutches for a while now too. Really not sure it is a bigger injury than Love, he is only projected to be in crutches for 4 weeks while Love already had a slew of injuries and this is WBs first that forced him miss games.

As for Kobe, eh. People held on to Dirk, Rose, Love, etc.. for longer and all got burned. Kobe will still go early 2nd pick I think.

Neither Kaman nor Dwight fit D'Antoni's system, but if Kaman makes it onto the court at all, he'll give the Lakers more than Dwight did. Also, there's only room for one diva in that locker room and Kobe inherited the job as soon as Shaq left, so losing Dwight is addition by subtraction. If Kobe can be convinced that D'Antoni isn't a good fit, I predict D'Antoni won't last the whole season in LA and then Kaman can become that 12/10/2 guy he was before and the Lakers can contend.

It's really D'Antoni who isn't a good fit for the Lakers' personnel, but I think Kobe's influence is keeping D'Antoni in the job. (You'd think that Mitch Kupchak might talk with D'Antoni, or Kobe, before he signs a player, to make sure the player can fit the system. It seems that nobody in the Lakers' front office is talking to each other.)

Lakers planning to amnesty MWP, he could be a good addition to almost any team for a mil or two. Clips should put up a bid for him.

CP3, Reddick, Dudley, Griffin, Jordan
Collison, Crawford, Barnes, Hollins, ?MWP?

Also, Cavs offer Bynum 2year deal for $24mil. I guess the Cavs doesn't really have much to lose?

Why Cavs willing to gamble on him? Among key factors I've heard: They know how rarely former All-Star centers are on market ... AND gettable
