Ya, you really need the draft and a couple of kids that come out productive right away. In a way, this is good. Keeps teams like LA and NY from just extending thru spend.

Dallas has a good owner, lots of money a good coach and a good GM. Hard to see how they can't rebuild on the quick.
OKC did not "let" Harden go, they could not have afforded the contrct he was going to demand. They could have gone all in last year, and maybe they should have but they got what they thought they could for him while the getting was good. Personally Harden for a few unprotected 1st round picks might have been better then KM but whatever.
As for GSW, they just cut serious bait and added a very good player who fits their team and style of play. More depth, with Iggy being a super sub like Manu at his best or Barnes coming of the bench for a much stronger rotation. He also makes Jack expendable and can handle the ball, letting Curry play off the ball.
I might be wrong in my assessments, but you're offering very little up in defense of your points.
LA get Kobe back at 97 years old. They'll have cap room, but it will be a 1 star team. Kobe won't solve anything long term. The team should really do what the C's have just done, but they are too attached to him. I understand why, but its bad business. Kobe and Gasol should go.
Dallas has good bones, but Dirk is the same story as the prev paragraph: hanging on to an aging star.
IMO, both Dirk and Kobe + both teams should go separate ways, both players could easily help many teams a lot.
Nobody really knows the truth behind the Harden deal, but I believe they made a mistake IF they had a realistic chance to keep him.
I agree GSW added a solid piece, but so have other teams out west. They had a chance to crack that top 3 or 4, but IMO have not now. Curry off the ball will be a new dimension, and will work.
