Yah well this is who he is and it is how he likes to coach and he has brought the Dubs to where they are at now so how about you just let him do what he wants. It's no different than Phil telling Jordan and Pippen to read meditation books and take yoga classes.

Team knows what they are getting when they hired a pastor and he is doing a good job and his team doesn't seem to mind. Some of those players are probably a believer too. There has been reports where the team would go to Jackson church as a bonding experience.

Interesting trade idea

Looks like the Bulls are itching to get Kevin Love. They have a ton of assets to throw at a deal.

Which of these would you consider expendable if you were the Bulls?

-Carlos Boozer and Nikola Mirotic (if he comes to the US) at PF
-Luol Deng and Jimmy Butler at SF
-Special 1st round pick acquired by the Bulls from Charlotte

The majority in this poll says the Bulls would be bending over backwards if they traded Boozer, Butler, Mirotic and the pick:

I'd say a few people in the locker room share his faith (after the Reggie Miller slip):
It's always funny to see people shift their expectations mid-stream. Not one person here (except for me and Skittles) thought they had a chance in hell to beat the nuggets.

Preseason, "experts" had them as a snowball's chance in hell of even making the playoffs. They played as many as three rookies at a time, up to and including the playoffs. His team has totally bought into what he is selling and despite what people assume are actually a very solid, albeit inexperienced, defensive team. The beat Denver on the boards and by playing solid D and if they beat the Spurs it will be because they do it again. I'd say he has done an excellent job as a coach, losses not withstanding.

Ahem, I picked the Warriors over the Nuggets. Or at least I agreed with someone who did

I also said they'd prolly get swept by the Spurs tho lol8[1].gif but the series has already been closer than I'd imagined

Re: Jackson and giving up leads - doesn't mean at this point that he isn't a good coach. Blowing leads is many times a defensive issue, and he doesn't have a great defensive team yet despite his emphasis on it. Also, teams (especially the good playoff teams) get hot and if you're playing them you have to ride it out and keep it close. Pop's Spurs blow leads all the time and no one's saying he's a bad coach

Fair enough and I was not really responding to you. At least you're a regular in this thread, although you do worship the Devil.
I'm just a little sensitive, as a long suffering Warriors fan who grew up in their Run TMC "glory" days, it is slightly annoying to see how the media and other fans talk about them now that they finally have somebody's attention. Mostly it is just straight up ignorance.
Yeah the late game collapse is hard to watch but fuck this team is young.
I mean nobody on the roster has playoff experience and the Spurs and Nuggets are good teams. There are no moral victories in the playoffs but
taking it to the Spurs like that just shows how good this roster can be.

One thing that the Dubs' have done buetifully over the years is draft well. Of course keeping that talent has been another matter. I mean this year they have solid rotation players out of the 2nd and 3rd rounds. A few years back they actually fielded a competitive team made up mostly of undrafted/D-league guys.

I hope they can finally hold on to some young stars and maybe even attract a quality free agent or two. If nothing else this playoff run should be an excellent foundation for their future.

Say what?  The NBA draft is only 2 rounds.  Agree with everything else you said, though.

I admit, I was the one who doubted the Warriors the most when David Lee went down. Props to them for sure for what they have done so far and even almost winning against the Spurs in San Antonio, I know at the end the "W" is what is important but you can't say you weren't impressed there when they had a 16 point lead.

Still hard to imagine them getting past through the West but I'll be glad to be proven wrong once again, they are a good team to watch. I'd be all up for them winning the chip over the Heat. biggrin.gif

Shouldn't Jesus be able to multi-task and have an infinite attention span to boot? I assume Divinity has lots of benefits like that.

This might be why large market teams usually win championships - more ppl asking Jesus

Speaking of Dubs, here's rendering of the proposed new arena. Looks pretty damn awesome.
