This is news to you?

What a great way to be reminded what it really feels like to be a Knicks fan, ugh.

Glad I did not shell out 2 bills for nose bleeds tonight.

It is.

He's not a guy I give a shit about, but I randomly happened to hear him interviewed about his suspension and was blown away how dim he was. I couldn't imagine how thick the women who fuck him must be. I understand the "want the pipe" comment in context now, it makes perfect sense.

I have no idea, but they both have that same dumpy look on their face. I was really blown away about how stupid he was since I'd never heard him speak.

JR Smith has been a nightmare his entire career. There's a reason someone with his enormous talent was playing in China until very recently (and didn't he even get kicked off his team there?). He did do great things for the Knicks this year, no question, but he sure picked a great time to act up.

And what happened to Gerald Wallace? Fr coveted free agent to seriously, the worst player in the Nets playoff rotation. He's completely useless - cant shoot, can't take it to the hole, can't defend, a minus on offense because his man ignores him to double team Deron or JJ...what happened??!

Look I'm not denying that he might be a real PITA, but the real reason he was playing in China had to do with the lockout. Once the owners voted to lock the players out, the players were free to sign contracts with other basketball organizations. I think there were three members of the Nuggets (K-Mart, JR Smith, and the third escapes me) who all went to play in China. Once these players signed contracts with another organization and the lockout ended the NBA voided these players NBA-contracts and they were all free agents. JR Smith couldn't get out of his Chinese contract until the Chinese season was over without having to pay back some large signing bonus. Once the Chinese season was over he signed as a free agent with NYK. This is also K-Mart wound up on the Clips last season.

This is true, but the guy is still pretty fucking stupid. Or he smokes 60 bong hits a day.

Just look at this:

Yeah, biggskip. You are right. I stand corrected in what I was trying to imply with that fact.

He has been George Karl's nightmare though, although I do want to give him credit for having a great season with the Knicks

oh no... possible smear campaign on Kobe? leaked negative story put in press to ease a pending amnestying to the fans?

Kobe Bryant, mom in court battle

CAMDEN, N.J. -- Kobe Bryant is in a court battle to try to keep his mother from auctioning off mementos from his high school days in Pennsylvania and his early NBA career.

A southern New Jersey auction house is suing for the right to sell the stuff after the NBA star's lawyers wrote the firm to say it could not.

Bryant contends that his mother, Pamela Bryant, doesn't have the right to sell the collectibles, including his Lower Merion High School letters, a 2000 NBA championship ring and hundreds of other items.

Berlin, N.J.-based Goldin Auctions says Bryant told his mother years ago that he didn't want the items.

Legal papers say Pamela Bryant intended to use her $450,000 advance to buy a new home.

being from boston - the leaked news stories and smear campaign on outgoing/fired/traded players/coaches from the boston globe is a tradition that has turned into parody (where the fans will mock the newspaper and the organization trying to pull one on the public).
