Rudy Gay trade is intellectually challenging, I guess Tony Allen will get more playing time.

If you were ever a Hollinger reader, this has to be one of the best digs at him that I've ever read, and the Memphis organization in general:

The Grizzlies issued a statement on the trade late Wednesday, and embarrassingly had "general manager Chris Wallace" throw out the obligatory organizational quotes on the deal. Only, Wallace had nothing to do with the trade. Nothing. He isn't making calls to teams. He isn't consulted by the new regime. He's waiting until they agree on the terms of his inevitable parting. So, Pera and new CEO Jason Levien take an unpopular trade and assign it to Wallace in the news release.

Levien is making these deals based largely on the recommendations of John Hollinger, a statistician who worked for a cable sports company. The San Antonio Spurs once used him as a consultant and regretfully took his advice to sign a free agent named Jackie Butler. It was such a disaster, the Spurs had to attach Luis Scola to a trade to get Butler out of town.

^this is weird... its seems like Woz is really skewering the Grizz for doing something totally transparent: the owners want to make money and be competitive. They've made it known that they want to dump salary, and on top of that they are using analytics do make up for the difference in loss of talent in the most statistically efficient way possible.

basically the grizzlies are trying to be the tampa bay rays. when the rays do something like drop salary using good player (and sometimes fan favorite) the writers will skew favorable and assume its a good move organization wise.

Woz is usually a guy who favors the analytics and common sense. But this article really reads like a take down piece akin to s Boston globe take down pieces of exiting redsox players/executives.

woz is being a little harsh when the grizz are basically doing things in line with running a sound business strategy.

Russy throwing a tantrum at last nights game. I always defended this dude but damn, with his awful shot selections (and not knowing when to stop shooting) and his attitude might just be the reason this team never wins a chip. Dude needs to grow up and grow up quick.

Do you guys think that with the huge attention NBA players have been paying to their "steez", that one of them might have stumbled on styleforum and joined/is lurking?

I saw a photo of Kevin Durant in SNS Herning and it made me think of this. Of course I am kind of presuming that SNS is mostly a SF secret but no one i know irl has ever heard of SNS...also I'm starting to see some SF-approved looks at postgame conferences

Or their stylist, I believe Lebron and Wade and Bosh pretty much have their stylist pick their clothes for them.

Wow, the poor Celtics cant catch a break:

Jared Sullinger needs back surgery and is out for the season.

The teams that red-flagged Sullinger on draft day due to his back issues turned out to be right after all. His rookie season is over after playing just 19.8 minutes a night in a mere 45 games, averaging 6.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 0.5 blocks. At this point, it's not unreasonable to think this troublesome injury is going to plague him for his entire career. Coach Doc Rivers will have no choice but to give Jeff Green/Brandon Bass heavy minutes now and the Celtics are rapidly becoming prime candidates to blow up their core at the Feb. 21 deadline.

And guess who owns him in fantasy.
