I'm thinking of adding more bench for depth, maybe 2-3 more players.
Also put it two max acquisition per week so that there isn't people who spam the FA list.

PM'd need a league ID to join.

And I don't like the 2 max rule

Sent. The 2 max rule is per week, I think it is good to prevent spamming. I know some who would drop and pickup a player on a daily basis just to fill up the stats. That is why I am considering adding more bench players so if someone gets hurt you are covered and the FA list is only there to pick up players that are doing good but still prevent spamming. I think 2 a week is more than enough, especially if you have 4 players in the bench. I'm open to suggestions though and if others prefer with more than the 2 max rule a week, let me know.

keep the add players to 2 a week, you shouldn't need anymore with the amount of players we have on rosters. With any more like rfx said it becomes spamming, and during playoff time it takes a way from who really has the best team.

i'm in! one thought - we have a LOT of roster spots. makes for a really deep league with lots of stashing and scraping of the bottom of the barrel, and maybe not a lot of movement. that's fine with me, but i just want to make sure that's all right with you all too

i'm ok with the 2 max rule, but 5 bench players is a lot.

Next to David Kahn, Maverick Carter is the dumbest person in the NBA

I like the 5 bench players unless we get over 10 teams.

I think the 2 moves a week is Draconian- maybe 3 or 4.

Do you think maybe there could be a seperate thread for the fantasy league? It kind of craps up and buries the more general discussion.

I don't think a different thread is different, once the season starts going I think most fantasy talk will be at a minimum since we can communicate through there too. Unless you guys want to talk about fantasy basketball in general in case you have another league and need help but I don't think there would be enough interest through the whole SF, I am not sure there are plenty of other people here who plays Fantasy basketball. We already have a hard time getting 10 people to participate.

We currently have 8 players, if we get two more to sign up or get to 12 max, I'll lower the bench to 3 and then make the max moves per week to 3.

Sounds like fun!

Bulls' Boozer out 2 months with broken hand

CHICAGO (AP)"ā€¯Bulls forward Carlos Boozer(notes), one of Chicago's top offseason acquisitions, broke his right hand after tripping over a bag at his home and could miss two months.

Boozer fractured the fifth metacarpal bone in his hand Saturday and will have surgery Tuesday. He was evaluated by team physician Dr. Brian Cole and hand specialist Dr. Marc Cohen of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, one of the nation's top sports medicine centers.

"It was just dark. My doorbell had rang and I tripped over a bag, tried to brace myself and it popped. I jumped back up, opened the door and my hand was still a little bit numb," Boozer told reporters at a Bulls practice Sunday evening.

Boozer said it was a bag he'd had at training camp.

"I went back to my place, hadn't unpacked the bag yet, came around the corner, running to get the door and fell over it," he said. "I'm 265, 5 percent body fat. I'm heavy, man. I guess I had to brace myself and my weight just collapsed the bone right there."

Boozer spent the previous six years with Utah and averaged 19.5 points and 11.2 rebounds last season before joining the Bulls in a sign-and-trade deal.

A two-time All-Star, Boozer has a five-year deal worth about $75 million. The Bulls were counting on him to team with Joakim Noah(notes) for a solid inside game, while also giving star point guard Derrick Rose(notes) an option on the pick-and-roll.

"I'm disappointed and feel bad about it, but we've got guys who will be able to step up and play," Boozer said. Taj Gibson(notes) is his likely replacement in the starting lineup.

The Bulls hired Tom Thibodeau as their new coach and also added Ronnie Brewer(notes), Keith Bogans(notes) and Kyle Korver(notes) in the offseason to try to move deeper into the postseason after consecutive first-round playoff eliminations.

Chicago begins preseason play Tuesday night.

They will be fine without Boozer for 2 months.. Still top 3 team in the East without him.
