Fair suspension. He deliberately chopped that elbow into an uppercut like he was trying to knock Terry out.

He received a flagrant 2 and walked away from the play after it happened

Terry was literally clubbing at his groin, if the foul on Terry would have been called, as it should have, JR would not have done what he did.

It's all good though, we'll still sweep them today.

It looked to me like the equivalent of throwing a punch (albeit with an elbow). He must have barely connected because Terry got right back up. The league has a well documented precedent for being heavy handed with suspensions for any actions that look like a player assaulting another.

I agree with you that Terry did something to provoke it because after he makes that swipe, JR immediately just lashes out unthinkingly. I also agree that it won't really affect this series. Celtics look completely demoralized.

JR's been verified to actually have a metal "pipe" for a penis, so terry probably injured himself during the clubbing. The knicks look legit this year... not finals bound legit (they'll still probably be almost swept by the heat) but ECF legit.

I promise this will be the last I mention this until the Knicks are out of the playoffs but I have never seen any team, not even the in their prime Jordan Bulls, be so overhyped as these Heat. No one is even considering them losing a game, mych less the series, to the Pacers or to the Knicks. As a matter of fact, I think if the Jordan Bulls were still playing people would still be drinking the LeBron kool aid and picking the Heat. The Heat are a very beatable team. They have no bench. They have no interior D. Wade is playing hurt. Doesn't mean they are going to lose but its not the cakewalk that people are making it out to be. The Pacers will test them. They will put Heat bodies on the floor on drives. LeBron, much like Melo, has been "raised" on this pussy league play of now where they think they cannot be touched and both lose it when the defender gets very physical with them (won't mention the Pacers or Knicks records against the Heat this year). A 7 game physical series is not where the Heat excel. Anyway, not going to say anything else on the matter, I am more worried about the Bulls right now as they play that physical style that I love but will hate if the Knicks have to play them. Everyone just keep taking the David Stern mandated blue pill, the Heat are the best, most complete team, they will steam roll everyone. Lebron is better than Jordan. The Heat are a dynasty etc etc.........

Agreed. Nuts to think that didn't deserve at least 1 game.

Fouls don't get called regularly. I guess when you don't get a call you're excused for intentionally trying to crack a guys face open? Make excuses for him, but everyone save you and Spike Lee think it was warranted.

Agreed. Man, that could light any opponents fuse.

Save for Lebron, Howard has the best bitch face in the NBA.

The league is trying to sell Lebron as best ever, its just kids that never saw Jordan that believe it. The Heat get home court, no real competition in the East. Pacers? No way. Now, no real competition in the west. The Spurs could take a game or 2 but otherwise would get rolled. Same for the Thunder w/o Westbrook.

Playoffs are shit this season. Nothing left here save for the purist to see a few well played games in lopsided series.

well as the most Heat-biased regular poaster on this thread, i'm definitely not annointing them yet. as someone who follows them very regularly, i can see how they can be beaten. the Bulls, their likely next round opponent, ended their streak employing the very tactics you mention.

all this Heat praise is simply because of the 27-game streak and the way Lebron is playing. but the margins are razor thin. the Mavericks of a few years back had a regular game record that was better than these Heat and they couldn't get out of the first round

Look, given where I live you can probably tell that I'm not the biggest Lebron fan in the world. That said, Lebron is having the greatest individual season since Jordan in the early 90's. If you except Jordan seasons, it's the best season in 40 years. I think the bench is much better than people give them credit for. Their bench doesn't do a whole lot of scoring, but they hold the floor while the starters rest. It won't be 4-4-4, but I'll bet they play less than 16 games before reaching the NBA finals.

Heat will beat either Pacer/Knicks in 6 games
