This MIA team is a team that still has the competitive fire (see Dallas '11-'12 season for counterexample). They are going to coast through the Eastern Conference playoffs and they will have to play an OKC, SAS, or DEN team that just waged a 7 game war against one of the other two.

Seems significant that their best 5 (3 +Allen&Battier) are destroying everybody and they are cruising to an 800 record w/o riding those horses into the ground. That lineup will see a lot more minutes in playoffs.

This is for Dopey. Physically, Kemp was like a LeBron but he did not have LeBron's basketball skills. I can't recall though, anyone that was as relentless as him once he decided he was going to the basket and I still have not seen anyone dunk on a reverse like Kemp did. He made it seem like a layup.

I was never a big Clyde fan, that Portland team was so unlikeable (Porter/Kersey) but I think he was an underrated player as people got caught up in all the dunks and stuff but the man could dunk. I think in one of the dunks here he takes off at the free throw line.
The Kemp dunks were otherworldly. +1 on the assessment of his skills. But eventually, he ate himself out of the league

True story: I waited tables during college in Georgetown back in the late 80s. Dantley came in for lunch. Me and another hoops can chose to buy his lunch, because we were such big fans. He left the waiter $2 on a $30 tab, then walked down to his Silver Shadow II and rolled out. Did we feel like fools and were we really disappointed.

jesus Lebron is such a big baby.

this is why I contend, by the way, that he would not be as good playing the rough and tumble game of the 90's. He becomes a huge bitch the minute anyone puts a hand on him.

the way he ripped that ball from Bosh's hands, it would not surprise me if Bosh's wife straps one on for Bosh tonight.

now the inevitable backlash for the Heat from the media/ESPN: THEY LOST ONE GAME IN A ROW... CHAMPIONSHIP IS SERIOUSLY IN DOUBT NOW!!!!

I was at the Celtics/Knicks game yesterday... OMG celtics ffffuuuu.gif

it was exciting seeing JR smith finally become a good player this year... he's always been good, but he's finally actually doing smart basketball things now (even after facepalm.gif shots).

^^ No kidding. LeBron losing his composure etc...

Bulls always play borderline thugball under Thibodeau, no surprises there. Hope they meet again in the playoffs, but after tonight's game, I expect it to be a very short series.
