i'd also take marc gasol over andrew bynum. i dunno. bynum is getting awesome, but in his match ups against howard he didnt do so well

Me too. I dont know what it is, Bynum just doesnt do it for me. Would take Nene, M Gasol, even Noah over him.

Off quote, but what the hell is with this Sixers team? Cant understand what they are good. Watched them against the Heat and was impressed. Also, the referee favoritism of towards the Heat is a joke. Just start the game 10-0 why dont they.

76ers are awesome. one of the more underrated teams along with the hawks. they dont have the brand name recognition like the bigger market players, but lou williams, iguodala, elton brand are all great value players. i was expecting more out of jrue holiday, but he hasnt done well. spencer hawes is great when he's not injured. they have a solid bench. their best hire was doug collins. he's really doing a phenomenal job with them.

With all due respect to Nene and Marc Gasol, who are both quality centers, they aren't as imposing on both ends of the floor like Bynum. He has the size that GMs covet. Not to mention he is younger than both of them. Noah doesn't deserve to be in the conversation.

The Sixers play well because they play as a team, play great defense and are well coached. They pass the ball well and they're unselfish. They don't have a 20 ppg scorer but don't need one cause they play good defense (most nights).

i dont think it's his size that makes him a better center, but his versatility. bynum is like a lesser dwight howard. instead of putting up a guy who plays like dwight howard but isnt as good as him against dwight i would prefer putting up somebody who is good in a different way and strategize around that. marc gasol might weigh less than bynum but he has a lot more moves to use and hustles more on defense.

Wut? Bynum and Howard are nothing alike, except they play center. Bynum is fundamentally sound, has post moves and is more of a prototypical center... you can run your offense through him. Howard is a dominant athlete, most of his effectiveness comes through his rebounding (and subsequent cleaning up) and defense- though his post moves are developing, most of his game is simply just overwhelming people inside.

i dunno. i see a lot of similarities between the two esp in that lakers magic game.

i dunno what you mean by still developing post moves, but i see a lot of great post moves from dwight when i watch magic games. a lot of good pump fakes, short jumpers (that one legged thing he does), lay ups from the base line, quick spins, etc. his hook shot is getting really good too.

both of them kind of overwhelm people inside. i think bynum doesnt hustle as much and isnt as effective in defense as dwight, but their offense styles seems pretty similar to me (eg the heavy body contact, the physicality of moves, using power to create airspace and shoot shots close to the goal).

oh and pacers. i think the three most underrated teams this season are the pacers, the sixers, and the hawks. none of them have all star players, but they're all really excellent teams

it seems like they were underestimating him. they kept going under the screen instead of over it so he takes easy shots. but dude has a really quick step and great court vision. hopefully we get to see more of him.
