oh yeah for sure.. it's just that he's young and first generation. To me it's at least a bit unusual that he's so "about" it for lack of a better term. Tebow's parents were Baptist missionaries so it's not very surprising when the apple does not fall far from the tree... that's all I meant. But you could look at it both ways... Tebow could have rebelled an ended up as the next Aleister Crowley... now there's a game I would definitely watch!

I have tons of first gen Asian-American Christian friends. Personally, I wish no one would talk about it in sports.

ok... sure. I had friends even in Taiwan who were Christian, but not holy-roller Tebow style. It's that he is very vocal and demonsrtative that's all. I'm not tryin to start anything.. just an observation.

and +1.. me too. Pierce passed Bird last night! That seems crazy... Paul Pierce.

Well I wanted Deron. But I'll live with Lin if he even keeps half this pace up. His defense needs work though.

The person I'd most like to get rid of is Amare, and his uninsured contract. His injury is coming, and coming soon.

Seems like every clip of a Wizards game I've seen recently has had John Wall doing the "Come on, wtf guys???" motion. shog[1].gif

on another note; Cavs beat the Clips!! How much (all?) is attributable to Chauncey's absence?

the taiwanese are (weird mixes of all the asian religions), but his parents are pretty devout christians.

well that adds some explanation. I know the Taiwanese media has been goin on about him... but I like it anytime Taiwan gets some exposure here in the US that a) reminds people that Taiwan is NOT Thailand and b) makes clear that Taiwan is NOT part of China (Chinese Taipei does not exist). Anyway, enough geo-politics... great dunk by Lin!

What's the feeling on how much the Clips will miss Chauncey?

Here is Lin v. Utah. It shows every point an assist (I think):
Watch this and tell me how many times he uses his left hand. A few crossovers and weak drives.
Can he finish with his left? Watch how often he avoids having to finish with his left inside. This does not look like NBA point guard skills.
I am no scout and may not be seeing the right things, but I have to believe that now that people have heard of him, this will show up on every scouting report.

steve nash and rondo often finish layups on the left side with the right hand.... but they'll go left when it has to be left to avoid blocks and block out with the right.

the more important thing is to see if he's driving left using the left hand for the dribble.

Hey, looks like there is a basketball game on tonight. Celtics vs. Lakers. Should be fun.
