Wondering what opinions people have of Varvatos boots? Like them? Which ones?

I'm looking for boots to wear mostly with jeans. Stylish but not TOO trendy.

Thanks.

Barrett wrestling and Barrett hidden lace are my favs there, as far as quality I have never owned any but they feel decent in the store - not for the price though imo

I love John Varvatos boots especially the Six O Six ones. The ones made in taly have the best construction of course.

Avoid the Star USA line which are pretty cheap and crappy and usuallly made in China or India.

I like a lot of the made in Italy ones but they're priced kind of high compared to similar products from Paul Smith for example. Also, while I like the beat up aesthetic, some of the JV models are a bit too beat to hell for me. JV are great if you only want black or dark brown too.

I own several pairs of JV shoes and boots and have been very happy with them. The mainline models are made in Italy and are the best construction, but I also have a pair of non-mainline boots that are marked "imported" and they have held up well so far too. The thing to remember about JV shoes is they are sold by many resellers online and can always be found on sale. I wouldn't pay $400+ for a pair, but on sale they can be a great deal. Check Ebay too as there always seems to be a lot being sold NIB.
