What is this for? Something with tea

I'd search for an old tea thread, but I dont think it can search words of 3 letters or less.

I saw a few of these today at a store and took a pic. It looks like a ceramic oil burner, but they put tea in the top. What is this?

maybe its used to roast the tea leaves or something nm;http://en.item.rakuten.com/chashoan/3-021/ Cha Kouro or tea incense burner. You place a small candle inside and fill the depression on the top with old tea leaves to add a pleasant scent to the room or to purify the air or any bad smells. Never knew you could use tea in a burner that way. I always used scented oils. I'll try that.
