This is what jeans look like on me - in need of help!

I'm in need of some serious jean fitting advice, here - I'm hearing people whisper things like "look at his pants", and it's starting to be a source of anxiety. (checkout link to photobucket)

I have Waist: 33", Thigh: 20.5" , calf: ~14.5", inseam: ~29-30"

Pants with 33" waist fit properly, around...but they don't look right on me at all. I'd go with "skinnier" jeans, but with my calves my legs would look like tooth picks.

my pics << First pic is with an AE brand... bad, but not "that" bad. Better examples of what I'm trying to describe, after it.

Any advice on what I should do, here, would be great

I think you should go with something more slim than those in the pictures. I think I'm skinnier than you (6'0" and 160 lbs) yet I wear tighter and don't mind at all. Also, look for jeans with smaller pockets on the back than those.

This is not what jeans look like on you. Its what shit jeans which are 2 sizes too big look like on you. Buy some APC new standard size 30...then post pics.

It looks like you could size down twice before the fabric even touches your calves

It's a learning moment! Wearing clothes that are too big doesn't trick people into thinking you're more muscular than you are. It makes you look like a skinny guy that doesn't know how to dress himself. I personally don't like skinny jeans, but go for some (non-relaxed fit) straight leg, and you'll be fine. Size 30 APC New Standards or size 31 Nudie Average Joes and you'll be fine.

i suggest you look towards some better jeans. Trust me they will look better on you. Try some regular fit japanese brands. Also buy them as tight around the waist as you can. Trust us, they will streatch out over time. The regular fit would keep your calves from lookin like toothpics. Also if the Japanese denim is too much to aford at the moment go with Ande Whall, Nudies or APC or if thats still too much go with the selvage raw uniqlos or STF (shrink to fit) levis. I think you just need a better cut jean, check out the denim threads in this forum. And remember denim streatches, it might feel weird on you wearing tight denim the first few weeks or months but it will streatch and when the fades come in it will become the most comfortable jeans u've owned with your own true history in them.

Your measurements are nothing to worry about. Buy some slimmer jeans that fit you, and it won't be a problem. And like somebody said earlier, you don't fool anybody by wearing baggy clothes. If you don't like it, go to the gym, but if you're going to stay skinny wear clothes that flatter you.
