Do chambray shirts go well with jeans?

i kinda wanna get a chambray shirt but I don't have chinos to wear with it, would wearing it with jeans be ok, or would that be too much blue?

It's fine.

Historically, they're both workwear fabrics.

If the shades of blue are too close, it can look matchy, so avoid that.
