Baltimorons: Samuel Parker? - Page 2

Got an e-mail from Ken already - my shoes have been shipped and should be at the store to pick up by Tuesday next week...way faster than I thought I would get them!

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I recently discovered Samuel Parker in Baltimore, and I was very very impressed with the shop, and Ken as well.

The term SF Apprved get thrown around a lot, but I would say that Samuel Parker has the overall asthetic that many on this forum are looking for, suits and sport coats from Samulsohn, Polo (blue lable) and Southwick, shoes from C&J (via Polo) Alden, and he had a trial pair of Alfred Seargeant boots in the shop :-) shirts from Polo and Hilditch and Key, socks from Panterella, and ties and PS from Drakes.

Prices are not cheap, but not outrageous either, right now he is running a %30 off fall winter merch.

In talking to Ken he has a very SF type of sensibility, he doesn't carry black suits, he prefers two button or three roll two, and side vents with a soft shoulder, loves tweed and texture.

It's worth a trip if you're in the Baltimore area.

I picked up a pair of Alden suede chukkas, some Panterella socks, and a silk/wool PS from Drakes

I will be back to is shop.

Definitely better than other area shops, but I was disappointed when I was there that the only RL Polo suits he carried were the ones with the extremely wide lapels. I forget the name of the line.
He also seemed to think that they were the ne plus ultra of suits.

EDIT: It was the Garrison line I was trying to think of as seen on UC here:

He definitely favors the Garrison for courser fabrics like flannel and tweeds, but he did have a different cut in plain blue worsted, not sure the model, but it was definitely not the Garrison.

I really loved his selection of separate trousers and sport coats. Wish I had a larger clothing budget.
