I have bought a pair of these Frye Boots. Men's 8R Harness Boots in Men's size 9.

I usually wear a men's size 9.5 US. So I have heard that you should order a 1/2 size smaller than your actual size for Frye Boots. I ordered a size 9 US. The boots fit fine at the toes. But the boots are slightly loose on the upper ankle foot portion of the boot.
Should I exchange the boots and order a size 8.5 US? But the boots then might feel slightly tight at the toes. What do you think?
