you are technically supposed to wear these like raw jeans. They should fade and break in similar to a pair of raw denim. The issue is that the fabric will show dirt a lot faster than a pair of jeans.

I would love to see a pair, unwashed a year in.......

Do you (or does anyone) know if this run is using the same fabric as the Limited Edition ones from '09? The selvage line is different, but not sure if that means the fabric is indeed different or just the batch.

It's supposed to be the same except the selvage line was added.

I'll confirm when I get my pair next week. I had picked up the selvage chinos from Orchard St this year which I was told was the same fabric from the LE ones, the color basically looks like the color of cardboard.

thanks for the update Sam. Could you wear medium in the new EG stuff? The large sizes seems kinda bulky and long to me. I wear a Medium in the FW 10 EG items... I was assuming I would order the same for S/S.

did you grab any of the fatigue shorts? also was Small the smallest? no xs?

I'm interested in this--especially the engineer jacket.

We did not order any shorts this season. Shorts are often difficult for us in spring because it does not get warm here until july. By that time we are getting deliveries of fall..... BTW I am not sure people need XS in things this season. The items we have all received so far are running much smaller than in seasons past.
yeah i understand abotu the shorts. i was asking if it was confirmed that you guys got no size xs in shirts/jackets?!?! if you guys can get me an olive CPO in xs and the cream polka dot work shirt in xs, will def kop since everyone else seems to be sold out or hasnt ordered it ...
Great to see some fit pics of some of these pieces, sent you an email on that olive CPO.

Just got to add my endorsement here of Blake- bought a pair of Raleighs (first selvedge!) there in December- fantastic service by both Sam and Blake, and mind boggling selection that will have me back there next time I'm in Portland.
