I like flying first class on Chinese airlines mostly because the egalitarian spirit so present in Western countries is not there.

You simply stroll to the front of the line, ignoring everyone else, and present your boarding pass.

Can you confirm that first class in China is called Party Class?

I miss the days when smoking was allowed. We certainly drank more and people were more sociable because of it. Never heard of 'air rage' back then but mild grumblings did occur when the Moet ran dry.

These days having a Singapore Airlines Krisflyer Gold (and it's privileges) is the bare minimum for a passable flight from and around Asia. The lounges (which they sometimes share with Star Alliance members) are heavenly.

Question to you chaps: Does any other airline other than Singapore Airlines (and a few quality Asian airlines) hang your coat/jacket even if you are in Economy and without being asked too? I remember being told "This is British Airways, we don't do that here" when I was lowly peon and travelling to the UK in the cattle class many years ago.

Question 2: Does your company travel policy have a cut-off time (e.g. 6 hours) before upgrading you to Biz Class?

Thanks,
R

I am a little confused, arent you thinking of getting your suits made by an Indian tailor for 300 USD tailoring each ? I would think if you can pay for business class every time you travel, you can certainly get your suits made by the best tailors in the western world.

The travel policy where I work is no Biz Class, period. We get around it by purchasing upgradable tickets, which are allowed, then using miles or personal cash to upgrade.
