I had the cast off for 2 weeks now, I've been in gym since day 1 of having the cast off. My weight dropped by 1kg, I can already see the fat melting and muscles coming back. Granted, I've been going to gym most of my life and at my peak I was 95kg (210lbs) of pure muscle. That's much harder to achieve now, but it's still easy to keep the fat off.

The difference is knowledge and determination. People who are too lazy and full of excuses don't have those.

i am 25, working full time (with plenty of overtime hours), going to the gym daily for 2 hours. i eat whole wheat chicken or turkey meat sandwich every day for lunch at work. i drink 1 serving of pro-complex protein every morning along with 3 servings of organic whole grain cereal + fat free milk. for dinner its usually home cooked pasta or rice + chicken/fish/seafood/beef/tofu between meals, i eat the organic whole grain/trail mix snack bars. no soda, i just drink seltzer water, tea or regular purified water. its not as difficult as it seems. basically an athlete's diet.

well just because you LIKE to eat it doesnt mean you should.
i do not eat out. whenever you eat out, they cook food with BUTTER which is HIGH on fat and caloric content.
if you cook at home, you can use olive oil as a substitute for butter and it cuts fat and calories by a lot.
also, no snacks, no ice cream, no soda, no beer, no alcohol, NOTHING.

its one of the choices you have to make in life.
do you want to be fit, have 6 pack, have an athletes body that people desire?
or do you want to have the deliciousness of food.

i tell myself everyday many times through out the day - "DO YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE RONALDO?"
when people say come out drink with us, i get water and volunteer to be the driver.
when people say come out eat with us, i say come to my place, i will cook you a meal better than you can get anywhere else. (my mother was a highly rated regional hotel chef so i learned a lot from her)

i am only 2 years into being fit.
i turned myself from a stick figure to what i am and i am trying to get to below 10% body fat by the end of the year and have ronaldo-esque 6 pack showing by next year.

fitness and cutting weight is something i believe ANYONE if they put in the effort, the sacrifice, the hard work can do.
its not like sports where one has to possess natural god given talent to win, losing weight and being fit is pure hard work and sacrifice.

no, bad genes is not an excuse.
you can have bad genes, sure say you have SLOW metabolism but you can definitely make up that by not being lazy.
if you are an athlete and you know you are not as fast as the other players what do you do?
do you sit there and be a ***** and give up? and just say "oh i am naturally slow?"
or do you say "ya know what? you practice 3 hours? i practice 6! i will beat you, and i will triumph through hard work and be just as good as you!"
same with getting fit!
if someone with good genes need to jog 30 minutes to stay slim.
someone with bad genes just needs to run longer and with higher intensity to make up for bad genes.
again - dedication, hard work.

I enjoy good food too much to not indulge in fine dining on occasion.

perhaps we should train all the fat people of the world to make our fine, tailored clothing. the exertion would help them lose weight, they would bear witness to the benefits of shapely bodies in said fine garments, and would be inspired to lose weight to become thin themselves. Of course the factories should be underground as to lessen the impact their bloated bodies would have on the visual landscape.

Where can I get some of that whole wheat chicken? It sounds delicious.

well with my 3 years of experience in high school learning my mother's trade part-time, i can cook it myself for probably 1/5 the cost with higher quality ingredients, and healthier ingredients.

i do not consider deep fried, or heavily buttered food or heavily sodiumed food as great dining (yes even high end places are guilty)
its just fat/sodium overload giving your sensory organs a rush of happiness feeling.

real highly crafted foods should not and does not rely on sodium or fat to give its audience gratification.

well if someone is ridiculously fat, they cannot wear many things off the rack
which then they have to pay people to specially make stuff for them - thus costing them more money. the same money they could have used to hire a trainer along with gym membership costs to get fit and be able to wear off the rack clothing.

from my experience - RLBL suit off the rack and RLBL suit custom MTM have a $600 difference.

it costs more to be fat

Nah. I just read "whole wheat chicken" and cackled like an idiot.

I mostly agree with what you're saying, but not everyone wants to spend two hours a day at the gym or eat healthy food all the time. Everyone has a happy medium when it comes to discipline vs. indulgence, I think.
