Would you take the male birth control pill?

Please only vote if you are in a position where birth control matters (e.g. not married and looking to spawn, or old enough where this is not an issue, etc.).

Assume that if you did this, you would reduce the chance of pregnancy to 0%. Would it be worth the hormonal tinkering to you?

The participants have tiny rods implanted under the skin of their arm that deliver a form of progestogen (commonly found in the female birth control pill) to block sperm production.

In order to maintain their sex drive and their "male characteristics," the men receive testosterone replacement therapy injections every four to six weeks over the course of the yearlong study. The results should be available by the end of 2002.

I would be too scared that sperm production wouldn't resume.

I wouldn't right now, because it's new and don't know what side effects it could have. If it was 100% safe... **** yeah I would take it!

Do you really want to mess with your testosterone production though?

Do I personally? I think that I am in a unique situation, having only one testicle and if anything were to happen to that, I'd be on testosterone injections for the rest of my life. But yeah, I would probably take the pill, if it was truthfully 100% effective. Because even when my ex was on the pill and I used a condom I would still get crazy nervous about us having a baby for some reason. I'd rather be totally sure, even if it meant some side effects.

Well I lose everything chemically that makes me a man and become some strange sort of not man not woman "it" that still has a non-productive penis. To be honest, it doesn't sound that different from my life now.

Lol. Don't feel bad. I still have a nut so it's hopefully nothing I'll ever have to worry about.
