Weighing food - raw weight or cooked weight for calories?

Is it best to weigh a sweet potato or say, a chicken breast after it was cooked or just take the raw value?

Why?

Thanks a lot

Weigh the calories you are consuming. Unless the calorie guide you are going by says something like "6 ounces Chicken breast (raw): 182 calories, then obviously go by raw weight. In all honesty though, if you are eating sweet potatoes and chicken breasts you are on the right track and really don't have to worry about over-consumption.
