Same story down here since late August. Prompt invoice and payment. No delivery and email follow ups. Eventual answer that he was away and problems with the paperwork for export to Oz and promise to resend. Promise of discount on next deal. Follow up emails to ebay, PMs and emails through this site all unanswered. When I last checked, his ebay account was no longer active.

I purchased the red Saxxon wool sweater when he did the final Monday markdown, paid immediately and received the sweater as described in a priority mail box very promptly. No complaints at all. Still, I understand you'd be upset if you hadn't received what you paid for by this point.

I have still not received the sport coat I ordered from Shawn, nor any replies to my numerous emails since 8/25/2006.

Today I escalated my PayPal dispute with Shawn to a formal complaint.

I realize some people on the list have had successful transactions with Shawn in the past, but based on my experiences, I would warn any and all of you to stay away from him. I can deal with losing $79, but the fact that he has ignored all of my emails (and emails from PayPal's dispute resolution center) for 6 weeks leads me to believe that he is among the worst kinds of online sellers.

I didn't receive a pair of pants from Shawn once for 10 days. He claimed he sent a pair and they must have gotten lost in the mail. It took a while to get a response (he was on vacation) and sent "another" pair quickly. Took about 14 days to finally get the pants.

Another interesting twist:

PayPal found in my favor in my dispute with Shawn regarding his non-response to my sportcoat purchase, but this account has been emptied out, so they can't return my money.

FYI - he's officially bad news.

This is all very curious. It's highly odd that a long time--and well-respected--ebay seller would suddenly skip out. His ebay account has been ended, too. Even odder is that he honored some of the purchases (mine, for example), but stiffed others.

On another level (all scorned customers and lost money aside), lets hope he's ok. I used to know a very reliable cologne dealer on ebay. One day he just up and disappeared. After a while, news trickled down that he had died suddenly from a heart attack.

I also find it odd that he suddenly disappeared. Good luck to those who have bought things and haven't received anything.

I bought several items from him between May and July. He was ALWAYS on the ball and would answer any questions very quickly. Also, he always included a handwritten, and personalized, thank you note with every package. Classy guy, I've been concerned about his absence for awhile.

I too, am concerned for him. He's always been quite prompt with purchases I've made.
