If I were to blow it all on a jacket, I'd probably hunt down this:

You'd need at least $1k in drugs to get in the shape the model is though...

I thought that I'd go with a pretty laid back outfit today. I thought that I'd stick with the Americana theme, this time anchoring things with Trovata's Defarkas hoodie, which I hear is selling out at an alarming rate (JEP boutique sold out, and Barney's in Boston just has 2 left after 2 weeks on the floor.) I am usually not a fan of Trovata, at least not for men (whimsical details generally work better on women's wear), but I really like this piece. In particular, the heathered color makes the cardigan like details (toggle button closure and buttons on the side pockets) congruous with the hoodie design. Just don't be flashing the lining the way the Active Endeavors guy is doing. www.activeendeavors.com $144 I found the first picture on a Japanese site, where the hoodie was going for $224. I remember that Spruce hoodies were going for just a little less than that on a Rakuten site last year. Just goes to show that the value of imports cuts both ways. Also, why is it that Japanese sites have invariably better pictures? Word to American sites: get rid of the live models in wierd poses. Take a page from the Rakuten Explorer website. I need some sort of tee under this, I think, The button up under the hoodie seems like over kill to me. I really like imagery and detail of "The Cast" tees, even though they are $80, and even at $64 with the styleforum coupon, they are still pricey. However, in real life, no-one is giving me wads of money to buy clothes with, so I'll splurge for this Cast tee. The wine color of the print contrasts well with the heathered blue of the hoodie-cardigan. In real lfe, I always wear jeans, but again, this is not real life, , so I'm switching things up with a pair of pants. SInce I like cords, and Helmut Lang, and since Helmut Lang did his last collection, this pair (although very poorly photographed by Yoox and poorly fitting on their overly muscled model, I must say,) would do the trick. www.yoox.com $88.00 Of course, this whole deal needs a belt, and one in heavier, durable leather is needed to complement the rough textures of this outfit. I am going with the Engineered Garments for Styleforum teal blue coloured belt (*was* available online, here, for $175. Now, no longer available. But I have one coming my way!) Shoes. Well, this outfit has a pretty collegiate feel to it, but a pretty expensive one as well. In the spirit of this, I am going to add these preposterously expensive kicks from Common Projects. Again. Note, in real life, I couldn't afford these.

I'm going to take this opportunity to whore Common Projects for the millionth time on this board: Best. Sneakers. Ever. The only sneakers I'll wear now as they really spoil you on anything else. Have the Achilles low in all three colorways and I'm dying to get the new high-top (don't know the name, but it's not the Achilles high).

Yeah Get Smart!!

That Marc Jacobs jacket is SICK. It looks so much better in person. Saw it at my local nordstroms. Heavy dark navy blue leather, the lining and metal peacoat buttons are awesome looking. I would def. spend my $1500 on that jacket too...

I usually wear a slightly less rockstar version of this. I wear a lot more brown, and hardly any black at all, so this a pretty common outfit I wear, but shot in black and white.

This grey Ann Demeulemeester jacket would be mine if someone actually gave me some real money. Probably one of the most talented of the original Antwerp Six, her cuts are always sharp. 726 Eu. www.luisaviaroma.com. I have no idea where to get that hat, but I'd pick up a similar one at a thrift shop.

The belt and chain detail on this Lagerfield cardigan matches perfectly with the exaggerated rock and roll hood, pockets and cuffs on the Demeulemeester jacket. 415 at www.eluxury.com.

Under the cardigan, I wear this fitted white shirt with a western yoke by The Cast. It's well made, slim fitting, and most importantly, the western yoke keeps the shirt from looking like I should be wearing it with a navy suit and red tie. $200 at www.activeendeavors.com

Hey, I need some skinny jeans. Well, I guess that I'll wear these Crate Sally jeans. $134 at www.activeendeavors.com I normally wear a belt, but with the details on the Lagerfield cardigan, it'd be just a little too much.

.
Again, Common Projects sneakers are ridiculously expensive, but hey, free money, right? Achilles Suede and Leather High tops, www.southwillard.com $275

Oh look, I'm over $1500. Even if I use the "styleforum" coupon for 20% off, I am over. No matter, I only went up to $800 or so in my last post. Rockstar dudes are always broke anyway.

Maybe tomorrow I'd opt for the Marc Jacobs jacket and nothing else.

I saw those common project shoes in odin yesterday. They are really clean and classic, but I didn't know they cost so much! Wow, with taxes the high tops are going to be 300 bucks. I like them, but that's a bit high.

Off topic slightly (it'd be easy to spend 1500 on an outfit in Odin, tho), they have a bunch of EG belts, and cool distressed Nepenthes wallets, too.

dude bargain harder! You can get like 50 of them for that.

Here, do some research:

www.bangkokbargirls.info

It has a how-much-should-I-pay calculator based on ugliness, naivete and the place you found the girl.

Thousands of dudes contributed to their database apparently. Dont you love expats?

Pure BAPE/Baby Milo gear + a g-shock watch just to look like a hypebeast

Seriously, I don't really know what I'd wear up, but I know I'd buy:

Imperial Dukes
A Freitag Bag
A watch from Tokyo Flash

Then I'd put the rest in my bank account to save or until I can think what else I'd get.

Simple, but quality:

1002200004_012_LRG.jpg

$221 Loopwheeler, shipped out of Japan through Juno's Bid-Service. From the other SF, taughted as the top of the line hoodie.

1002210001_002_LRG.jpg

$67 Loopwheeler, combined shipping with above hoodie (again, taughted top-of-the-line tee)

d00071_m.jpg

$333 Sorahikos in NYC

nbhdfuryl1.jpg

$198 Neighborhood Fury Hi, Leather.

Grand Total (all shipping not included) = $819
About halfway to the goal in cost, but that's all I can think of for this simple fit.
