I'm hoping some kind soul can help me out.
I'd like to purchase a specific style, fit, and color of Dockers that has recently been discontinued. Prior to that, they were available at Macy's, and some remain on clearance racks or mixed in with the stacks of other Dockers pants.
To be exact, what I'm looking for is a pair of Dockers Never-Iron Cotton Khakis, relaxed fit, flat front, size 38 x 32, color Navy.
While I was searching a local Macy's earlier today (I've already been to a bunch of others close to me), a sales associate was able to check their inventory system and confirm that they're sold out everywhere nearby, but NOT everywhere in the country.
According to the check she did, there were still 2 or 3 pairs of this specific item (SKU# 52175338778) on-hand at each of the following Macy's stores:
If someone who lives near one of those stores could act as my proxy, picking me up a pair and mailing them to me, I'd be very thankful.
They're now on clearance on stores for (from what I've seen) just $19.99. I imagine they'd ship easily in a USPS Priority Mail flat-rate box, and I'd be happy to toss in a bit extra as gratuity for your trouble.
If anybody thinks they can help me out, please respond to this thread and/or send a PM. The inventory printout I received also includes phone numbers for each store, so it might be possible (if I knew which store you were planning to visit) to call ahead and double-check the inventory and/or place a pair on hold, just to make sure you didn't get there to find out they were sold out.
