What are your Top 3 Shoes you wear with Jeans & a Button-Up

List your top three personal picks that you own, in order of frequency, when it comes to choosing shoes to go with jeans and a nice button-up shirt.

Disregard my three, as I'm just beginning to put together a reasonable shoe collection:

1) Walnut colored plain-toe loafers
2) Don't have any others at the moment

Over the past year:

1) Polo Darlton (Wingtip blucher) in brown shell
2) Brown Alan Bilzerian apron/moc toe bluchers (made in England, with a ridgeway sole, I think)
3) Black AE Cornell (Algonquin toe monkstraps) - these have been a heavy standby for black shoes with jeans and button down shirts.

But I really rotate quite a bit - a backstrap Polo brown shell cordo boot gets heavy wear with jeans and buttondown shirts, as does the black AE shell Leeds PTB. I just acquired a burgundy shell AE MacNeil, so that is moving up the list as well.

Moving down quickly: Probably my black Bruno Magli chelseas, which will probably get thrown out when the sole gives out. Not worth resoling (and I want to open up space for a black Polo monk boot that's been waiting for a chance to get in the rotation).

Depending on the shade of the denim and weather:

1. Wolverine Ascot boot in medium brown
2. RM Williams Craftsman (chelsea boot) in whiskey
3. Bally chukka in cognac brown

(4) If back home in Texas, orange-tan or black cowboy boots
(5) Hot and dry day, Clarks DB in oakwood suede

You can pretty much wear anything with this 1) Mystery brand walnut oxfords 2) Mystery brand suede off white high tops 3) Mystery brand cognac loafers Raw jeans and a button up are universal if they fit right + are good quality... shoes + outerwear + accesories, IMHO, aer what really make an outfit, and you can go in a million directions w/that combo
