Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread - Page 456

Hi there, I´m new to this forum and this is also my first post.. so hi!

I have been a Tricker´s collector for a while now, and just recently saw these Keswick Brogues.

I know they are slightly different from the new ones, these have an Itshide sole (without a leatherstacked heel) and also the description on the box is different and I'm pretty sure the leather is a bit darker.

Does anyone have more info about these, when these are made perhaps (maybe they are the older version). And what does: Pittards (WR100) stands for on the box?

Thnx!

Pittards is a UK supplier of leather. Pic posted here mentions its use of WR100 full grain Xenon leather.

Thnx for the info.

Must have been a special makeup with the different leather & soles..

The medallion of the broke is located much higher on the vamp than is the current style. This may help date the shoes.

Does anyone know for sure what the last is on these cap toe boots from END?  I love 'em!

I also bought some Stows but I haven't worn those yet, so I can't compare the two.

Very nice!  Really like the Tricker's cap toe models.  3 questions for you;

1) Where did you get those brown laces?  They look great!

2) Did you apply something to the sole edges? Mine arrived quite cloudy looking.  Tried some wax but didn't really help

3) What is the official Trickers name foe this style?  Parade 21?  Or is this slightly different to a normal make up?

1) They come with the boots, classic brown shoelaces from Triker's

2) I apply sole edge wax, it's a liquid wax applied cold you can rub when dry if needed Deforme.jpg (déforme in French => http://tictac-cordonnier.blogspot.fr/2009/10/la-deforme-traditionnelle-du-cordonnier.html (sorry it's also in French (as am I) but pics are quite sufficient to see the different products available). I use that to seal (and shine) the sole and the sewing in the sole edge. It's available in brown, black and transparent (the one I use).

3) It's an END MTO but I'd say Parade as well.

Welcome back @MSAINT!

Does the sole edge still darken with time after applying the wax?

Very slightly to none, what you see on my pics is the end result and the color doesn't move.
Some more example if you want :

ALLAN

STOWs

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on the wax the next time I'm in France. Looks like you've added to your Tricker's collection.
