Anyone aware of any stockists carrying shell cordovan plain toe bluchers? I see that Frans Boone has a couple, but none in my preferred combination and size.

Thanks!

There's a few pairs left here but they seemed too expensive for me. I liked the make up though.

Damn, that's a great makeup. Sadly, my size is gone and I agree with you about the price (GMTO for a similar shoe through Shoehealer is about 400 GBP).

I wear a 7 1/2 in the Robert. I can wear a 7 1/2 in the 4444 althought the last itself is too roomy. A 7 in the 4444 is too short. (The 4444 just doesn't fit me very well). Half a size up from your 4444 size to your Robert size is a maybe - a full size will be too much.

Hey man, hoping you can help me out on sizing too! I have a pair on the 4444 last, size 8.5UK, that fits me pretty well, just a bit roomy all around. Not sure if I could have made an 8UK work as the break in was a bit rough (think I am in the same boat as you with the 4444 last not fitting my feet). I'm leaning towards staying with the 8.5UK for the Robert derby on the 2298 last. From what you wrote it seems like that would work best for me.

If anyone is a size 12 UK it's your lucky day.

Wait....It's only $400gbp to get a Tricker's teak shoe through Shoehealer?

Well, that's based on the price of the black shell PTB's that Reddit has been able to get via GMTO (there is actually one getting started now, here). The GMTO requirement is 6 people with the exact same makeup (including width / fitting) and the quoted price is without VAT. I'm not sure if you could do Teak at the moment, though, since I think Tricker's has switched tanneries for shell, so they may have more limited colors.

question for anyone who has the Champagne Waxy leather.  I was thinking of getting a shoe with this leather but i am around barns pretty often, so very dusty.  I am wondering if this leather will attract the dust and maybe a smooth leather in a color like Marron or Espresso would be better

thanks for your opinions and experiences

I haven't noticed that at all. They are super low maintenance boots and don't show scuffs as much as my smooth calf boots. I don't work on a farm, but they are much rougher boots than the others. I'd go for it.

Yeah, champagne waxy is super low maintenance. I'd be more concerned about how the light edge trim holds up than the waxy leather.

I'd agree with leaning towards staying with your 4444 size but ultimately it's never an exact science.

Aaagh!

Impulse bought a pair of Trickers Veldtschoen shoes last night. Can't wait for them to arrive. The seller didn't have much info (last, width) but I'm hoping for the best.

I just can't pass a good deal on veldtschoens in my size. This will be my 4th pair, all of them from different makers.

Here's the sellers pic
