@zippyh Thanks. My only experience with Tricker's is a Stow that I believe is on the 4497, though I'm not sure of it. I will check under the insole tonight, as I've heard sometimes the last is written there. They are 8.5UK and big enough that I've got a thin leather insert in them. The 9s were definitely too big (volume-wise) and the 8s were too short. I'm thinking of going 8.5UK again in the Monkeys. I'm a perfect 9 on the Barrie, if that matters.
If anyone can decipher the scrawl and identify a last using this photo, I'd be super-appreciative!
How do they get that finish? Is it coated in some way?
It's kind of a funky surface finish. Obviously printed. I tried scratching it with my fingernail and it didn't really do anything.
According to that irritating shoe material sticker, it is leather. It feels kind of synthetic not too surprisingly.
I tried my pair on recently in the hope that my recent weight gain translated to larger feet. But alas they still fit big and now im just fatter
This is such a shame dude, amazing boots. I heard from Richard today that the price of single MTO's has gone up significantly (£645), and that they only have black & burgundy available... indefinitely. I was hoping to get a chocolate cordovan Eaton on 4537 going with GMTO (£445). Brogued captoe and quarters, maybe with medallion too. Do Trickers often run out of cordovan color varieties?
