Offical TRICKERS shoes and boots thread - Page 431

conak I think it is unlikely that those are Tricker's. It is true that Tricker's did sometimes use printed rather than hand written information on their shoes, for example in the Corniche collection. However, they will designate width in the form of a number (usually 5 or 6 on a mans shoe) but if I am reading the information on your shoe correctly the width is designated as E.

I am sure that others on this thread who will be able to offer an opinion

I have two pairs of Trickers with the same exact soles, but all my Trickers boots and shoes all have hand-written internal markings and this pair is printed. Anyone know if other makers use this sole or if Trickers at one point printed the inner markings?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

You could try peeling off the sole liner to see what's there. Allegedly Tricker's hand write the size and last under the liner.

Thanks for the recommendation, I didn't realize they (allegedly) did that. Not sure how I feel about trying to peel anything, but good to know there's an option if I get desperate

Sometimes people asks me “why my shoes are more expensive than others” It’s very simple: Quality.

So classy. Personally I liked the 10k dollar color 4 Aldens that were out a few days ago on eBay.

A bold statement, considering he doesn't actually make them.

Also, those shoes, yuck.

Very nice Zippy. I wanted to grab those but the leather sole didn't work for me. I grabbed the tec stows First pair of Trickers. Hoping they work for me. Here is a pic. Love the color of both tec and walnut

And even without knowing they are made of cordovan...

He would have listed them at 2000$

Orange Cordovan after 2 years of wear. I never baby them and never polish/condition them before today. Some parts are already very badly scuffed beyond repair like the outer side of the boots just below the toe cap and others parts are just covered by layers of dirt

Wiped off the dirt today and brushed them with some neutral saphir renovateur. They really darken up throughout the years and now is more of a mid brownish tone rather than orange. Despite all the scuffs and wear, they still manage to somehow gloss under the sun after some polishing! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
