Seems like you're off... I've never heard of anyone sizing down as much as you for any of those lasts..

I'm an 11D brannok and I wear 10 UK Oscar, 10 UK 4497s, and 10 Trubalance

My Brannock may be off then. I wear the same as you except 10.5 Trubalance.

Anyone got a source on a pair of Richard LWBs on the 2298 last?

Sensible colour/material, EU based retailer, UK7 1/2?

That's my experience.  I'm a 10-D US Brannock, and the Tricker's 4497 9 (width 5) fits well.

@Oasis the Shoehealer website is listing a pair of Richard's in brown suede size 7.5 UK. They are on the 81 last which has a similar fit to the 2298.

Thanks guys, was hesitant to get the orange shell, afraid that the colour might be to sharp, but it turns out to be really cool:satisfied:

Today, I wore my, very pleasant, MTO for my local shop, green brogue Boughton's. Although they are comfortable, they are not as comfortable as some other shoes I have (including some Dr Marten's).  They slip a bit on my heels. I have put in an insole and this helps, but they still slip. There is no pain involved, it's just annoying. These shoes have a very thick and hard sole and I wonder if it is just a case of wearing them until the sole becomes a bit more flexible.  It doesn't feel that way, though... When I bought them, I did try a size down, but they would have been impossible to wear; my toes were being crushed.

I have a tentative  theory about this. I have noticed that the 'throat' of the shoes - the opening - is quite a bit larger on the Tricker's than on my other shoes. It would make sense, I think, to assume that tightening up these shoes, around the foot, would be more difficult. I would welcome any comments! For me, these were very expensive shoes.   With all good wishes, Munky. PS, I have red ones, with the same problems.
