Uh oh. What's UK 11 in the Roy boot relative to your Barrie size (same as your Barrie size, 1/2 down, full size down?)? Based on Richard's advice, I took the same size as my Barrie size. Haven't received my Roy boot yet, so I'm beginning to dread that it might be too big :fu:

^ yeah boot fits a atleast 1/4 sizes big on my US12D foot. I take a 11.5C/D in the barrie. Went with uk11 on the 4537.

So you would think these would work for a US 12.5er?

I hope I'm not fu**d. My Barrie size is 7.5D, which is also the same size I took for the Roy boot per Richard's advice.

we had over 25 participants in this gmto. i think we can get a consensus on fit if enough input is provided. and with so many participants im sure we can just trade around sizes to secure an optimal fit.

so yeah, post your sizing experience and size

especially anyone with a uk10.5 that dont work

Would you say [@front] volume is equivalent to a 4444 ?! ... Last shape, aside.

I've got a pair of Mayfair monks on 4537 and they don't feel as voluminous as these Roys.

i think the roy is a little bigger. maybe its the pattern i dont know. zippy alluded to the fact that his 4537 roy is larger than other 4537

cipresso in uk10.5:

Hi.  I just received my first ever pair of Trickers (I tend to buy Loake 1880's for "proper" shoes").  They were bought new in box from a certain auction website and I'm delighted with them, the quality seems excellent, great fit, very happy.

They are a style called "Daniel", a dark brown derby.  I particularly liked them as they are similar to a shoe that Trickers did for Margaret Howell which was out of my price range (£425 - ouch).  The only significant difference seems to be that these came on a dainite sole and the MH ones had commando soles.

I can't see "Daniels" on the Trickers' website though, or in their rather nice brochure that arrived with them.  Does anyone know anything about them (ie. why they aren't listed)?

Thanks

Similar experience here. I did not get in on this Roy order. But I have the Mayfair monks and the Belgrave, both on 4537, and they both feel TTS to me (maybe just a tiny bit roomy, but talking differences in thin vs. medium dress socks). These are probably 4 or 5 years old.

Then I tried a 4537 from STP and also from RETrickers within the last two years, and both are huge. Almost like wearing a Stow; even with an insole too big. I thought the first might be a manufacturing defect or last mixup, but the second confirmed it. Something very weird happening with this last.

Could the same last in shoes and boots be totally different? I have 4444 last shoes and boots; the former fits like they are half size smaller.

What is the 4497s like? One size down from brannock?
